Hey all, new blog today, and a bit different, because in this blog today I am going to be going over a number of verses/thoughts, so it is essentially a series of short blogs today. Hope you get something out of it and it is beneficial to your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ today if you are saved… if you are not saved… you need to be saved. Being saved is not about you becoming religious, it is about a person, the Son of God. The Bible says he that HATH the Son hath life. Do you have the Son? Do you understand what that means? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ personally, or will you hear at the day of judgement the Lord say to you… Depart from me, I never knew you… Please note also that I am no spiritual whiz. I am not a guru or anything, I am not special, I have nothing to glory in other than the cross of Christ. I in reality do not live up to my blogs, I sin, I sin a lot… these blogs are not about me, they are just things God shows me through his word and I hope they help someone else, or promote some thinking in some way. The degree to which someone is spiritual is the degree to which someone is in the Word of God. Get in the word of God, abide in it, abide in him, and his words in you… and you will gain wisdom, knowledge, understanding. This is all from God. It is his gift to us. His word applies to me first and foremost, the same word judges us all, I gain no credit or merit for writing these blogs… glory to God, not to me. He ALONE is worthy… read Revelation 4. I AM UNWORTHY. Revelation 5:2 – 5 – And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Revelation 4:10,11 – The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Firstly, we see today so many different Bible versions in Christendom today. Many Christians don’t see it as a big deal. For some people it’s a big deal, for most people it’s not. The degree to which you think on the importance of Bible versions is the degree to which you are serious about walking by faith with God. The Bible says God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, his ways are not our ways. So you’re either going to live by faith or live by sight. We have been going through Lot’s life recently, and the difference between Lot and Abraham was that Lot walked by sight, while Abraham walked by faith. If you are walking by faith, and Biblical faith is faith IN God’s word, not just an abstract faith, but true faith is faith GROUNDED in the Word of God… if you are walking by faith, if you are staking your life, your hopes, your dreams, your future on God’s word… you really do need to know that God’s word can be trusted don’t you? Think about it… if your Bible has errors in it, how can you trust it with your life? The Bible says we should commit our souls unto God, as unto a faithful Creator. The Bible also says God has magnified his word above his name. God stakes a lot on his word… so should you… Jesus is the Word of God… In the beginning was the Word. It can all be fun and games for us, but when life actually hits us,the importance of God’s word and the veracity the sureness the preservedness of his word suddenly become paramount. Abraham is called the father of faith… look at his life, he just obeyed God. When God told him to go and offer up his son, he didn’t know what was going to do (remember God’s ways are not our ways), he just obeyed God’s word, he didn’t lean to his own understanding. The sureness, the veracity, the trustworthiness of God’s word was of utmost importance to Abraham… we look back now and see that God provided, but Abraham didn’t see that in advance, he just trusted God’s word and obeyed. When you read commentaries, notes in your Bible saying this is what God really means, when you have to go to multiple versions to understand, you only cheat yourself. Abraham didn’t understand the word, it’s not a crime not to, but we should obey it, and obeying God’s word pays off. Abraham 100% walked by faith in God’s word, and it paid off for him, God came through for him.
The second thought today is to do with copyright Bibles… apart from the Authorized King James Bible, all other Bibles (to the best of my knowledge) are copyrighted. This in and of itself should tell you which is the true word of God, which word you should read, abide in, keep. The very first parable Jesus told was that of the parable of the sower. The sower sows the seed. We should all be sowers of seed, we should all sow the seed … the seed is the word of God… it is incorruptible seed. All we do is sow, God gives the increase. You cannot sow copyrighted seed. God wants us to sow seed… but here are Bible revisers who place a copyright, and a copyright is going to PREVENT you from sowing the seed isn’t it? You know its the truth, God’s word is NOT copyright, these false Bible versions having a copyright is one sure tip off that they are not versions you should be using. It is in fact Satan who tries to INHIBIT the sowing of seed, now you know who is behind these new Bibles… Here’s another thought, God said in the beginning to be fruitful and multiply. This is true in both the physical and spiritual sense. Once we are saved, we are created to multiply other believers. Be fruitful and multiply, spread the seed of the word of God! These copyright versions are a direct attack on God from the beginning. They are PERversions.
The third thought today comes from the life of Ahab. Ahab got faithful Naboth killed, God pronounced judgement on him through Elijah, but then Ahab changed his ways a bit. The Bible says he humbled himself before God… 1 Kings 21:28,29 – And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house. Yet God’s judgement was not stopped. What the Bible teaches us today is that you can stop sinning, you can stop being a bad person, you can quit cheating on your wife, you can quit doing bad things, you can clean yourself up a bit… but unless there is true repentance and you are born again by placing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection in your place for your sin and thus receiving forgiveness and eternal life… you can live as moral and holy as you want, but you will still go to hell. Ahab remodelled himself, he was wicked, but he reformed his ways a bit. That was not enough, it was a small step, but not the full and right step. And the judgement of God came to him. You can stop sinning, I can stop sinning, but unless we get it under the blood of Christ and get forgiven it doesn’t matter how many new leaves you turn over. You are still unclean, I am still unclean, even if I stop doing the thing that makes me unclean. Get saved, get right with God… in truth.
The fourth thought comes from Matthew 11. Jesus said John the Baptist came neither eating and drinking and they said he had a devil. Jesus came eating and drinking and they said behold a glutton and a winebibber. With many people, talking to many people about the gospel… they always have a new excuse. You can speak truth to them all day long, but unless God the Father draws them, they won’t come, they won’t hear, they won’t see. Salvation belongs unto the Lord. Jesus was saying here that either way, they had an excuse, a justification. As a saved person, are you and is God just never right in the eyes of people you have to do with? They say this, then they say right, and in truth it’s just because they have hard hearts. God has to do the work.
The fifth thought comes from Genesis 3, the fall of man. Genesis 3 shows that disobedience comes from doubting God’s word. Satan cast doubt on God’s word, and the next thing we see is Adam and Eve disobeying God, and then the next thing we see is the fall of man. The steps are this… doubt, disobedience, fall. That is the pattern for us today, if we doubt, then we will disobey, and then we will fall. And the end result was broken relationship, broken fellowship with God. We will experience that same disconnect as well today. Don’t doubt God’s word, don’t listen to the devil, doubt precedes disobedience, doubt leads to disobedience… and we all will fall. This is how we fall and break fellowship with God… we listen to this voice… Yea hath God said? That’s Satan’s first words recorded in the Bible. Doubt is a faith killer. Doubt is an obedience killer. Doubt is a fellowship killer. Doubt is a relationship killer.
The six thought relates to “another Jesus”. Many people today attest to “Jesus”. Everyone believes Jesus, Muslims do, New Agers do, Christians do… yet many we read are not saved. Many will say to Jesus… Lord, Lord… and he will say I never knew you. So what’s going on here? Just because someone claims “Jesus” doesn’t mean they are claiming the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible. There are plenty of false gospels going around today… false Jesus’ producing false conversions… a gospel missing things like hell, judgement, wrath, mercy, longsuffering… it’s “a” gospel, but not “the” gospel. We only want the “love” God, not the God that is holy and that judges sin. Read the Bible for yourself, don’t love a lie. We are all guilty of idolatry. We are guilty of idolatry when we create and worship and serve an idol “Jesus”. Zechariah speaks of the idol shepherd. John wrote in the last chapter of 1 John… This is the true God and eternal life, little children keep yourselves from idols. We all need to keep ourselves from idols, even an idol Jesus. Jesus said many false Christs would arise in the last days, Paul said that there is another Jesus, another spirit, another gospel. Do you believe in and subscribe to a false Jesus, a Jesus you have made up, a false Jesus portrayed and framed in a false version of the Bible? An image that is corrupted by man? These Bibles produce a corrupt image of Christ. You will end up worshipping and serving the wrong image, the three Hebrew children were the only people who did not fall down and worship Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image. These new Bibles will bow you down before not Jesus, but Satan. Remember, Satan is after worship and glory for himself, read his five “I wills” in Isaiah 14. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, but these Bibles produce a corrupted image of him, Satan will get us all on idolatry, take heed to ourselves today, make sure you worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible. Romans 1:23 – And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. That is what new versions of the Bible are doing. Heed the warning of the true Word of God.
The seventh thought has to do when Jesus said three times to Peter, Do you love me? It is so easy to get the order mixed up, to leave our first love, the Lord Jesus. We can quickly turn aside, we can lose focus, we can lose perspective. Jesus asks us today… Do you love me? Do you love me? Do you love ME? It’s a person, the Lord Jesus Christ, not a dead, lifeless religion. Do you KNOW him? Do you HAVE him? He that HATH the Son hath life, and he that HATH NOT the Son of God HATH NOT life. It’s that serious. And when we love him, we can then be served and use him… and what is our command… feed my sheep, feed my sheep, feed my lambs. Protect your lamb! When Nathan spoke the parable to David after David had Uriah killed to cover up his awful sin with Bathsheba (Uriah’s wife), Nathan’s parable was about a little lamb. Bathsheba was Uriah’s little lamb, he cared greatly for her, was faithful to her, he was an honorable man… and king David did a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE thing. Feed my sheep, feed my sheep, feed my lambs. Are you someone who causes others to stumble? Jesus said if you offend one of his little ones… it would be better for you that a millstone were hung about your neck and cast into the depths of the sea. We all have sheep and lambs that God has given us to look after in our lives. What has God entrusted you with, what has God given you? Are you helping, or are you hindering, are you harming? Will someone go to hell because of you? We have to help others out in the Christian walk, not hinder, but help. We help them not with rubbish humanistic philosophy, flattering, swelling words, we help them by building up their faith in the word of God. Love and truth are inseparable. We all need to walk in truth, stay in truth, abide in truth, KNOW the truth… walk in the light as he is in the light. The Bible says NO lie is of the truth. Charity rejoiceth in the truth.
The eight thought has to do with laying down my Isaac. We all have precious things in our lives. The Christian walk is costly, it will cost us. Jesus said we have to and will count the cost. Maybe you already have. Pilate tried absolving himself of making a decision… but in so doing he made his decision. There is NO middle ground in this life. Jesus said you are either for him or against him. It’s as simple as that. What prevents you? What is too great a cost for you to follow truth, to follow Jesus? Is it family, friends, money, popularity, your pet sin… is it bitterness, hatred, pride that you are treasuring? Jesus said no man having put his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. Isaac was Abraham’s precious, beloved, promised son. Yet God asked him to offer up his Son. God wants us to let go of what’s precious to us. We have to be willing to lose before we gain. It’s so against our nature, against our understanding. Give your precious things to God and see what he will do. Our latter end will be better. You have to be willing to lose to gain. There is cost associated with walking in truth as well, it will cost you things, but God will give better things. You may lose friends, popularity, money, but what God gives you will far outweigh the worth of these things. We have a God, THE God that as Hebrews 11 says, provides a better thing for us.
The ninth thought has to do with a verse in John 9:41. When Jesus said now ye say you see, therefore your sin remaineth. In this life ,we all have to realize that we don’t see. None of us see. We are ALL spiritually blind. We need Jesus to open our eyes. What do you think the miracles are all about today? They are showing us a great and precious truth today. Jesus needs to open our eyes, to open our ears, to open our understanding. And he will, just like he did with all his miracles, just like on the road to Emmaus. He is the opener of things, and what he opens no man can shut. But first you need to admit before him that you DON’T see… because the truth is we don’t see… but do we see that? A blind man who couldn’t see was healed and now he did see… his sin dealt with. The seeing people who could see weren’t healed because they saw no need for Jesus to make them see… therefore their sin remained. As the saying goes, you have to be lost before you get saved. This is why that 1 lost sheep was more valuable than the 99 which weren’t lost in Jesus’ story, because we have to be lost first, to be saved. And we all are lost… but do you see yourself as lost? Or are you too proud, too self sufficient? The Bible says in Job that such people say, What profit is it if I be cleansed from my sin? We all have to see that we are wretched hell deserving sinners in need of God’s mercy and grace before we get saved. That’s why the law came first, to break us down, to pave the way, to lead us to Christ. You only need the Saviour if you have something to be saved from.
The tenth thought is short, it has to do with the verse in Psalms that says they that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Sowing the seed of God’s word is not easy, but sow the seed anyway. We will reap. We don’t know how, but we will reap. Mark 4:26 – 29 – And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. This relates to the thought of laying down our Isaac, we have a small part to play, it is God that does the work, just put him first. PUT GOD FIRST. It will pay off. There may be people you are witnessing to, praying for, for God to turn, for God to change, it will pay off. Sow the precious seed, even if it is in tears. Psalm 126:5,6 – They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. You will DOUBTLESS come again rejoicing, bringing your sheaves with you. Let that sink in, God makes promises to us, and God doesn’t lie.
The eleventh thought is from the book of Nehemiah. When Nehemiah was building the walls, it was very humble beginnings. Sanballat and Tobiah, the enemies of God and hence enemies of Israel, were laughing at them, they were laughing at how small, feeble, inadequate the walls looked. But sure and steady those walls were going up. Your and my salvation may appear very small and feeble, but those walls are sure. Walls represent salvation in the Bible, and God builds the walls in our lives. You and I may think of how much of a failure we are, but God is doing the work, God’s work is perfect, no man adds to it, no man takes away. God opens doors and no man can shut them. Salvation is full and final in him. Just trust God. It is all about him. He is strong when we are weak. He gets a lot more glory from a broken, humble, error riddled, but God confessing truly saved genuine life. Build those walls! Get in the word of God. Abide in him, and let his words abide in you. Meditate on them. 1 John 2:12-14… read it!!! Are you strong… if you are its only because the Word of God abides in you. And you will overcome the wicked one. The victory that overcomes the world is our faith, and it is HIS faith to us which is what really matters… we constantly waver, God doesn’t. He is the faithful Creator.
The twelfth thought relates to being Authorized Kings James Bible only. People will say it’s a bad thing, they could say you’re in a cult. People accused Paul of being part of a cult. And it’s actually good to be “only” in most, if not all things. For instance, the Bible teaches that Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus is the ONLY one who has the power to and does forgive sin. Jesus is the ONLY begotten Son of God. There is ONLY one salvation. There is ONLY one faith. There is ONLY one Holy Spirit (many false spirits absolutely, but only 1 Spirit of truth). Starting to get the picture? I am ONLY saved by grace through faith, it is not of myself, not of works, lest I should boast. All glory, all power, belongs ONLY to God Almighty. And it’s good to be “ONLY” truth. 2 John 1:9,10 – Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. It’s good, in fact, it’s essential to be ONLY about all things. The Bible says NO lie is of the truth. Hear that again, NO lie is of the truth. NO lie is of the truth. There is only ONE truth. Jesus is the truth. Get in line with truth today. 3 John 1:4 – I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 2 John 1:1-4 – The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
We will finish on Lot and Genesis 14. The Sodomites were only concerned with being liberated from serving another group of kings. And Lot got all caught up with them. As Christian you have no place being in Sodom. You will get caught up in vanity, in the wrong causes. You will occupy yourself with vanity, and just like Solomon, you will say WASTE WASTE WASTE. Compare Lot of Abraham, his life was not wasted, he had fellowship with God, while Lot was separated from God. And it all traced back to the strife between the herdmen. Is there strife between the herdmen today? Yes there is. The new Bibles, the new gospels, the new Jesus’, the new spirits are “herding” the sheep to a different pasture. Do you have the Spirit of truth, do you have a love of truth… Jesus said to the unbelieving Jews that he knew that they didn’t have a love of the truth. The ox knows his master’s crib. If you have the Spirit of truth in you, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God abiding in you, (the Spirit and the Word are inseperable, the same, yet different, but always agree and harmonize and God’s Spirit never works around his Word), you should not find peace in a different pasture, a strange pasture. How can you have peace living in a lie? Can you feel anything wrong down in your heart with the fold you are in? Have you been herded towards Sodom? Or are you herded towards faith in God? These different herdmen have caused plenty of strife, all the new Bibles, all the denominations, Christians have lost the plot, they have scattered, separated… but God has let all this happen to try us to test our faith, to test our love of the truth. God left the nations in the promised land to prove Israel, and prove Israel they did. Israel quickly went a whoring after their strange false gods…. again, and again… and again. What’s in your heart? Jesus sorts the sheep from the goats, the trial of your faith is precious. But is there a reality there? Or are you a fake? To finish, read the parable of the net in Matthew 13… are you a good fish or a bad fish… will you be thrown away when all is said and done? What a shame to live a fake pretentious life and then go to hell…
Matthew 13:47 – Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Matthew 13:48 – Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 13:49 – So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Matthew 13:50 – And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:51 – Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 32 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing.
