Daniel 7:25 – And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Hello readers, new blog time today. Before we start, the Bible calls the beast, often referred to as the antichrist, the “man of sin”. New Bibles have changed this to “man of lawlessness”… but he won’t be lawless, just he will make his owns laws, he will change times and laws. It is a crucial distinction, because right now, as we know, and we also see for ourselves, that the spirit now is in the world, and works in the children of disobedience. We see the laws of lands changing, laws made and passed which are ungodly, where they make it a crime to obey God’s word.

There is famous (in Australia) sports player in Australia called Israel Folau who recently got into trouble for posting a Bible verse on his Instagram. The case is ongoing, but he stands to be sacked because he posted a verse which offended homosexuals. Apparently, although it is unclear, it was written into his contract… and thus in posting this verse on his Instagram, he has violated his contract. Satan is the god of this world, make no mistake about that. This world hates God, and this world is not of God.

Laws used to be to protect people, now they are weaponized against Christians. Where the homosexual movement started out with changing laws for recognition and acknowledgement and equal opportunities, now law is changed and weaponized where it makes it illegal to be a Christian. Laws they once changed for relatively innocent reasons (remember the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field!), now they have changed the laws to invade your life, to take away your freedom to live and follow and obey God. They may say you are free to be, but you are not. Contracts are tied to you bowing to the beast. How do you think the world will get to such a state where you cannot buy or sell save you have the mark of the beast. You can’t now play top level sport lest you abide by their ungodly agenda. The net is closing, and Satan has engineered it so that the laws of the land are now made so that Christians are unable to be so. They will say yes you can, but you can’t really, can you, if being a Christian means you can’t buy, sell, or live your life in freedom.

Our verse comes from Daniel, and it is in this same book that we read an account similar to what has happened to Israel Folau. In Daniel, there were a bunch of people that hated Daniel’s God. They persuaded king Darius to make a law to require people to worship him. It was a stupid, ungodly law, but Darius agreed to it. Thus the law was passed, which if disobeyed, would mean that you would be condemned to death in a den of lions. And so we are in the lions den, yet we have a God who shuts the mouth of the lions. Even earlier in the book of Daniel, the three Hebrew children refused to bow down to the image of king Nebuchadnezzar, and thus they got thrown into a fiery furnace. This all happened in Babylon, and we live in Babylon today. But we can stand, and we should stand, even while all else fall down. The music makes people fall down, and the law of the land is making people fall. Daniel refused to yield to the stupid law, and he put God first, if a law is passed that contradicts the law of God’s word, we have a choice to make. Daniel made his choice, he kept praying to God, and it got him in trouble. But God honors those who honor him and his word, and he saved Daniel, and he will save you, despite how grim that den of lions you may find yourself in looks.

The point is though, that laws are changing in lands that were once free today. It’s been a gradual erosion, a progressive taking of ground. Satan is smart, he controls the airwaves, he knows that if you control the flow of information, and control knowledge, you will control what people believe and thus control how they act. But in Isaiah we read that Lucifer is cast out, he who did weaken the nations. And all these new laws are weakening nations that were once godly. They did waaay back in history, and are again. There is no new thing under the sun. Satan’s modus operandi, he devices, remain the same. The changing of the seasons and laws is part of the spirit of antichrist, which is working in the world.

The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The battle is real. It’s time to get in the fight, and equip ourselves with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, because behind the flesh and blood we see, we have a great spiritual enemy, who is mobilized against God and those who follow and obey him. Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.  Don’t let Satan wear you down, and wear you out.

Deuteronomy 7:22 – And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. Back in the Old Testament, God delivered the nations in the promised land little by little, and not at once, lest the beasts would increase upon thee. We have beasts increasing upon us today. The ground which our fathers have taken has been whittled away, and the enemy is increasing. And in fact as in previous blog, the enemy is coming in like a flood for us. However we have the promised of God that… when the enemy comes in like a flood… the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him. We have a standard… which is greater than the law of a land that has departed from God and all that is godly and good… our standard is God’s word. That is the Christian’s standard, a standard by which we measure things, and gauge things, and base our life. And God will honor that, his word is unchanging, infallible, it has stood the test of time, and will forevermore… and so sure is it, that when heaven and earth pass away, his word will remain. It is worth it to side with God’s word, and not bow down to, and not be worn down by the beasts changing times and changing laws. There is a lot of change, but change away from tried and tested truth is never good. Ask for the old paths, and you may yet be able to be or beget those that build the old wastes, that which the enemy has destroyed. The times are changing, the laws are changing… but God’s word remains the same.

Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
