Mark 1:14 “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,”

Mark 1:15 “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

This is how Jesus will come into your heart and your life.

Don’t worry about all the false imaginations and conceptions of Jesus which are seducing so many away from the truth… stick with what the Bible says… his HOLY book authored by his HOLY Spirit and spoken by HOLY men of God who he moved to speak his word.

You wouldn’t want someone to judge you by what others say about you who you didn’t authorize to do so… would you. You’d want them to judge you by hearing what you say. Why not give Jesus a fair trial? Pilate didn’t. The crowd didn’t. And maybe you still aren’t.

Today we are talking about how Jesus will come into your life, and the first thing that will happen when Jesus comes into your life is he will PREACH to you. He won’t debate with you. He won’t ask your opinion, he won’t consult you… he will tell you how it is “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?”

If you are not ready to be told, you are not ready to be saved. You’re not going to negotiate salvation, being saved is unconditional surrender. And in case you feel like you’re on some kind of par with God… you’re not. I’m not. Just your friendly reminder, God the Creator doesn’t fit into and is contained by our little brain and mind… and the same Lord doesn’t owe you or me a thing, in fact the Bible says the wages of sin is death… don’t forget who we are… beggars who found bread… because it is because of his mercy and grace that he saves us… which by definition means we freely get what we don’t and never would be entitled to and deserving of.

What a Saviour.

Today I ask you to come to Christ, not to me, not to church, not to a denomination, not to RUBBISH of which there is untold heaps of… come to Jesus Christ for yourself. He’s not too far away, though you may be far away… yet he is a few simple words away like this… com one, you can do it, just try “and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

… yes it’s that simple… for the Bible says “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him” You need some catching? Do you have that sinking feeling? The Bible says IMMEDIATELY Jesus stretched forth his hand. Peter’s salvation from sinking was AT HAND. When are saved it is because our hand catches on to his which has reached lovingly, mercifully, and graciously to where we are at. If you need lifting up, yes you can go through all the psych trick gears… in the end only Jesus who can reach far enough, deep enough, to draw us out of that hole we got ourselves in. “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”

And so Jesus was a PREACHER. I know we don’t like preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ in Australia, but Jesus was a preacher. He authoritatively and definitely and unapologetically declared the word of God… and all of it! Jesus Christ is the full revelation of God… there is nothing more and nothing less to discover about God… he is your one stop shop to knowing God’s entire revelation of himself and his will to humanity! “but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

Did you know you will never ever get saved without someone preaching at you? And not the person, but the Spirit of God preaching at you through a child of God. I know that’s not how you would do it, but that’s because you don’t have God’s wisdom! God didn’t consult you or me when he decided how he’d go about redeeming us… and he chose preaching, not how we would do it, but how he does it! “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

You’re going to have to get over being offended by the truth and start loving the truth! “because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

And so when Jesus preached, he preached all of what God gave him to say. This is where so many churches and ministries are going wrong… they deal in half truths… but not the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God. In case you haven’t realized yet, half truths can be very very damaging… how much more when it comes to the fate of your eternal soul.

…There may be some details left off which you really need… like the need to repent of your sins! Because guess what Jesus preached…REPENT! “ And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent” If you’re wondering what Jesus wants from you, and on what terms he will come into your life… it’s on the basis of repentance!

And what is repentance? Webster 1828 dictionary says “Repentance is a change of mind, or a conversion from sin to God.” This is why the thief on the cross got saved, because hanging on the cross, hours from death, he had a change of mind and a change of heart about who was hanging on the cross next to him. Thank God he sent his Son into our mess, to save us from our mess, but you’re going to have to change your mind about your mess one of these days.

So Jesus was a preacher. Jesus preached repentance. …And Jesus talked about TIME. You don’t have infinite time. I don’t have time. I know we seem to live forever, until we don’t. The Bible speaks of HIGH time, it speaks of ACCEPTED time, and it speaks of NOW is the time.

You don’t have forever to get saved… and in your life there may be only some very small windows where you are exposed to the preaching of the Holy Ghost, has he ever preached to your heart drawing your lost heart and soul to Jesus? How did you respond? There is no time like the present… because one day you will have no time. Revelation speaks of when time will be no more… I pray that you get saved before there is NO MORE time.

And so Jesus was a preacher, he preached repentance, he preached about time, … and he preached the kingdom of God. He was from a different place and he preached stuff from a different realm. If the gospel is all gobbledygook to you, that is proof point positive that you are not saved. When you get saved, truly, you get it.

The truths of God are not of this world. What God is offering you is not of this world. Being saved is a supernatural life. It’s God’s Spirit coming into your heart, you spiritually change citizenship and conversation. Suddenly you go from of this world to not of this world. Because you got a whole load of stuff not from or of this world which completely changes your life.

There is a kingdom difference between you and God, salvation is a before and after change, it’s not osmosis, it’s not gradually working your way there, it’s going from one kingdom into the next and Jesus likened it to new birth, because it literally is. Ye must be born again.

The kingdom of God explains the difference between this world and the heavenly kingdom… which one day will fill the earth. But how exciting that there is so much more than just this little life of work, grind, pointlessness and death. You getting more than you could ever hope for, you’re getting something that it will take the Bible says… the ages to come… to begin to plumb the height, length, depth, breadth, width of… oh yes, 5d.

But did you know why a true Christian seems like they’re on a different planet to you? … it’s because they are in a different kingdom now, and they see and have entered into a spiritual realm which you have not the least conception of “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

… Does it worry you that you may be missing out on something that you don’t even know of? When you vehemently reject Jesus, does it worry you that you are dismissing something you don’t even understand the least bit? Did you know that the Bible says that “the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”

If you are ever tired of this world you live in, the system of life here, the way of thinking here, the spirit of the world… know that that is not all there is to life, nor even why we were created and the potential we have… even if you can’t see it yet. Jesus was preaching about a kingdom not of this world, are you in it?

And Jesus said this is all… AT HAND! You know what that literally means? You can just grasp it. It’s at your hand. You’re not going to wake up in hell and blame God, you’ll only blame yourself. If you are reading this and haven’t been offended yet and or if all you’ve got out of this is how much I don’t like you when that is not true at all… you’re reading what’s not there… you have no idea my motives, stop worrying about them I’m telling you the gospel… did you know your own salvation is within your grasp? It is AT HAND. Grab it!

BELIEVE! Jesus preached believing God’s revelation of himself through Christ and Christ alone. You can think about trusting Jesus all you want… but until you believe… you’ve never experienced the least bit of it. There is no dipping toes, it’s a complete baptism or not at all. You can assent to Jesus, but that is not the same as BELIEVING on him for eternal life. It’s a sad life to circle around believing and never take it in your hand. Unbelief is a wilderness, as it literally was for Israel for 40 years. Believe in Jesus Christ ofr yourself, latch on to all and everything he has said“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

I hope you find forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Jesus Christ. Has he come into your coast yet? This first sermon he came into Galilee, just some nobody place. Yes, it can be you, it can be your life, he can change you, you can be saved if no one else is. You can live for Christ if no one else does. It can be you, it doesn’t have to be reading about how God changed someone elses life. He’s about to call some fisherman in the next few sentences… Jesus deals in ordinary people.

And all this, it is how Jesus comes into your life. He comes preaching. He comes preaching repentance. He preaches about TIME, the importance of time, the necessity of time, believing while there is time. He tells you all about God, God’s kingdom, the things of God. Things which blow us away which we never saw before. Jesus preaches belief in God’s word. Is that where your faith is, is that where you found belief?

I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
