Something The Angels Desire To Look Into

1 Peter 1:12 – Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Luke 15:7 – I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1 Corinthians 1:18 – For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Hey all, new blog time today. Something the angels desire to look into. Because there is something so great this side of eternity even the angels wonder. The grace that was prophesied of, the mystery of salvation and future glory. Noone understood, noone knew, noone saw… the Bible says in 1 Corinthians had the princes of this world (referring to the evil powers of this world headed by Satan himself) known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Because we were born at this time in history, we can’t see the full story. Man fell in the beginning, so far from God it is dizzying. Sin entered, and sin and death passed on all men, all have sinned. We were without hope, so dark. But God still had grace and mercy and revealed himself to mankind, he made himself a nation to whom he began to reveal himself, all the other people of the earth were without hope, without light, outside the promises, the covenant. The way was not yet manifested, the sacrifices didn’t get it done, it was a mystery, there was the law of God given, but mankind couldn’t keep it, it piled us under a mountain of condemnation.

Mankind waited for a Saviour, the Saviour, the Messiah, someone who could fix this mess up. Jesus Christ had not been revealed yet, how he would redeem and save his people. People were saved by faith in God, just as we are now. But they didn’t know what we know today. We are now in the greatest time to live on earth. Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ, he lived, died, and rose from the dead alive forevermore. So he is alive right now, ascended into the heavens, at the right hand of the Father… GOD… and he sheds forth his Spirit into this world to seek and save the lost. It’s an amazing time of grace. People all around the world hear the gospel and believe it, and they are partakers of a (THE!) salvation which is so great and glorious the angels desire to look into it.

Jesus has been calling out a body of believers since he rose from the dead. He is the Head and we are his body. The angels wonder, the spiritual world wonders, all of creation wonders at the amazing grace of God. The grace, might, wisdom, power of God is known to all of creation now and in the future by salvation made possible through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. And we shew forth his glory. God is glorified through anyone who gets saved, and the angels wonder and are amazed by how it all happened, how Jesus can save to the uttermost! Ephesians 3:10 – To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. By us, the church of God, the heavenly beings wonder at God, we are to the praise of his glory. We just don’t understand or see how great salvation is. We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. What does this mean? We might be poor, unwell, in dire straits physically, afflicted, but we have all spiritual blessings. Set free from sin, liberty of the Spirit of God, illumination of our minds, the greatest hope any creature in existence has had. We are blessed because Jesus is blessed. Our fullness of life here and now is in him, and in the future. He is full, and he gives us his fullness, we have an unlimited future in him.

The angels desire to look into the grace, the salvation, the power and wisdom of God. Because I can try and convince you of God in my own wisdom and intellect and get nowhere. This whole life right now comes down to the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the power of God. It’s why we have to give people the gospel of Jesus. It’s good to do good to others, to help, serve, protect, love, care, provide… but the ultimate in helping ourselves and others is believing and sharing the gospel of Jesus. He died for our sins. And the message of the gospel, which is good news, the best news ever, is where the power of God is. The gospel is incorruptible seed, it is the power of God, it’ll save a man, it’ll save a woman, it’ll save a child. Giving someone the gospel, the truth of God is the kindest thing you can do for a person. We must all receive the gospel, believe it. We have sinned. We have done evil. We have broken God’s law. The penalty is death and eternal death and separation from God. But God also made a way back, he provided himself as a sacrifice for our sin. So we can be forgiven through him, God’s Son Jesus Christ. He shall save his people from their sins. It’s so great the angels desire to look into it. They couldn’t believe it, because Jesus was God, but he laid down his life willingly, no man took it, he laid it down, he took the price, the weight, the penalty of sin upon himself. So we could be freed. So when you tell people about Jesus and what he did, it’s the power of God.

The gospel of Jesus is the power of God. You want to introduce God’s power to your life? Repent and believe the gospel, as Jesus said. You sick and tired of yourself, your sin, your hopelessness, your powerlessness, the ruts, the mire, the bondage of sin? Turn to Jesus Christ. He is God. The power of God is in the gospel. Sharing the gospel with others is giving them something that can actually change their life, transform their life… SAVE their life. Because God always honors his word, he honors his Son. Give people something they need. Something so great the heavenly beings look on in amazement. 1 Corinthians 1:24 – But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Why give someone the gospel? Because you’re giving them not your own wisdom, intellect, or rubbish, because all we have is rubbish, pretentiousness, deceit, guile and vanity apart from Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:5 – That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. And that same power that saves you, that births a new creature in you… KEEPS you. 1 Peter 1:5 – Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The Bible says there is rejoicing in heaven over someone who repents. There is joy in heaven, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God when a lost sinner gets saved by Jesus Christ. The gospel is for EVERYONE, and God will have mercy, he will have compassion, he is ready to and will save, to the uttermost. How great is that?

There is no searching the love of God. The Bible makes it clear. And when we start to scratch the surface of God’s love for ourselves, we realize why the angels desire to look into it all. Because his love, his wisdom, his longsuffering, his faithfulness, his mercy is mind boggling. The future glory is so great, that the worst suffering here, and it can be horrible and tragic, is not worthy to be compared with the glory that will follow. We have all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. Perfect fullness of life and future in him, because he’s done it all, and he IS it all. He is the way, he is the truth, he is the life. The only hope for a human is the gospel.  If you come to someone with anything other than the gospel – REPENT AND BELIEVE the gospel, you cant change their life. You don’t truly, truly love them in truth. You can’t truly help them. No wonder the Bible says he who wins souls is wise.  When you give people the gospel, the words are spirit, the words are life, the Holy Spirit is in it, he preaches to their hearts. Yes, most people will reject it, but you don’t know who God will have mercy on or who will receive it or who will change. It might be someone you didn’t think was capable of being saved! It might be someone you don’t like! It might be someone you thought was beyond God, or who didn’t care for it. The gospel is no longer man preaching, it is the Holy Ghost preaching and the power of God… and that is what it takes. He reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. and then the comfort comes. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. The gospel, the grace of God, salvation is so great and glorious, the light so bright, the truth so warm, the message so pure, and clean, and holy, the salvation so full of power and majesty… but will you come?

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 30 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)

  2. I believe completely I need to repent daily for my sins; but HOW does Jesus mean we are to repent?
Do I tell God I am sorry every night and ask Him to please forgive me of all my sins? I can’t name or remember all the sins of my heart. When I rise in the morning do I say a sincere prayer asking God to forgive me for all the sins I have ever committed, it seems so insignificant, and not enough, after the horrible death he suffered because of my sins. Especially the sins of my heart. How do I daily repent enough for all the sins I’ve forgotten?
I so desire that a sincere blanket statement of being sorry for all my sins would be enough, but it isn’t. Do I say LORD please forgive me of all the sins I have ever committed is that enough; but is that enough???
It seems to easy and insincere, compared to what Jesus went through to save my wicked soul.
How can I rightly repent everyday to be right with God? And know I am doing it right? I have been saved since 1967. People just say tell God you are sorry for all your sins, accept His sin sacrifice, is that enough???
Could you do a teaching that after you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior; even if it was 50 years ago, and you feel lax in your maintenance of that relationship, how can you be right and accepted to our Lord.
I’m not talking about backsliding!!! Just being lazy in my repentance, and walk with God.
How do you repent and make things right, in slothful ways as a Christian, I love Jesus, I am grateful for His precious Blood, and how He became sin for me. But I don’t feel I’m anywhere near grateful enough. I teach the Bible but something is not right, I am not grateful enough or sorry enough. What do I say to the Lord to be right? Thank you so very much for your help. I woke up around for this morning, asking God this question as I have many times. I came downstairs to pray and read my Bible with the Scripture on my mind of I Peter 1:12 and how the angels desire to look into salvation. But Jesus didn’t die for them, and they can’t be saved or repent. That thought is frightening to me, the angels don’t have Salvation afforded to them, but I do, and haven’t been a good caretaker of that salvation.
So I put in the phone I Peter 1:12 and somehow came to your blog. I had never heard of you Joseph till 2 1/2 hours ago. Thank you for your help. When I submit this comment I hope I don’t loose you.

    • Hello Deborah,

Jesus Christ died for our sins past, present and future. When you get saved and born again, that is forever. It’s just as valid for past sins as sins you will commit. From then on, as a saved believer, as a born again child of God, this life isn’t about salvation for that is already sealed, but about sanctification. It’s a process by which the Holy Spirit works in our lives to transform us and conform us to the image of Christ. That’s what Christian means, “Christ like”.

We still struggle with sin, but it’s not that new creature in us sinning, but rather that old man who we are meant to crucify every day by faith while also trusting in the promise of new life in Christ. Christianity is a practical and present truth. It’s not just a “back then when we were saved” truth, it’s here and now. We need God’s grace for every minute, every step. We live on his promises, and he’s made many precious promises to us not just for our salvation, but for our daily Christian living.

Remember, Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us, and that’s what he’s doing right now. He hasn’t ceased to exist since his ascension. He provides a complete salvation from sin. He died for you before you even knew you needed salvation. Pretty sure he’s got your sins covered. And that should illicit thankfulness and appreciation for his grace and mercy and spur you on to holiness. We have to make a decision every day, not about our salvation, but about our sanctification. Will we trust and obey him? Will we walk in the Spirit by faith in his word?

We sin a lot more than we even know, and God knows that. God sees us far clearer than we see ourselves. He sees us perfectly. He sees our heart. But he is changing us, he is drawing us out of that past life. There should be a before and after. Daily we should pray to God, we should recognize and confess our sins, and we know that he has forgiven them. The work is finished. But he giveth more grace. He is far more faithful to us than we are to him. This life is really just being changed by God as we trust on him and that little inner man grows as we mortify the deeds and power and strength of that flesh until one day we are set free forever from this sin cursed thing.

Hopefully that helps, there is no formula to follow other than reading your Bible and calling on the name of the Lord, it’s just a life of repentance and faith. You can’t lose your salvation if you’re really saved. Thanks for your comment, Joseph.
