Colossians 2:9 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Hey all, new blog today, talking about comprehending God. The Bible says no man hath seen God at any time. Noone has seen God. If we look way back to Genesis we see that God spoke the world into being, and Jesus is the Word of God. Jesus was way back at the start, after all he is God, it has always been him. He was called Jesus at his human birth, but he is known by MANY names, because he is God. He didn’t start at his human birth, but that was just his entry to the world as a human being, born of the virgin Mary. He is called the Word of God, the Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. From Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, it was always Jesus Christ. The book is a testimony of him, it is his testimony to mankind. Much like we as humans who are saved have a testimony of God’s grace and goodness, well Jesus has a testimony too, his will and testament and word to mankind, and that’s written in the Bible, written down, a hard copy.

Jesus Christ is God. To say he’s not is to deny God. He is the way we know God, the way we see God, the way we comprehend with God. Your only brush with God will be through the person of Jesus Christ. Let’s not forget, he’s not a ritual, a process, he is real, he is God and he became a man and died for our sins. The Bible says the Word (God, Jesus Christ) was made flesh and dwelt among us. He became a man, and walked this earth, and he did good, and his life was set towards the cross. He showed up many times like in the Old Testament, he showed up as an angel, but this was his human birth and life, and he came to save us from our sins. God himself entered his own creation to save sinful mankind. He made man in his own image, man was different from the other creatures, he breathed into man his spirit. But man sinned, and it was all broken. Spiritually mankind died, and instead of God being the spiritual father, Satan was. It’s why we are all born dead into the kingdom of the devil. He owns this world, he runs it, this world is the kingdom of the devil, of Satan. It is a cruel, dark, wicked kingdom, and it is doomed. To get back to God we need to believe and receive Jesus Christ into our hearts.

We have a problem… sin. Sin has separated us from God. Isaiah 59:2 – But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. A man gets back to God when he realizes God is HOLY, JUST, TRUE, he loves you but you have sinned badly against him, and so have I. Our sin is against GOD. Only GOd can reveal that to you, that all your sins and wickedness and life and thoughts are AGAINST him. And when they are against him, then we are also against fellow man. The root cause is we are against God, it’s why David confessed his sin as “against thee, and thee only have I sinned and done evil in thy sight”. Because David’s sin and rebellion and wickedness was against God, thus he did very harmful acts to fellow man. It’s why Jesus said the first commandment is to love God, and if we get that one right, then we fulfill the second commandment, to love one another AS HE LOVED US. You have to receive the love of God for yourself, to then love someone else. Yes the world has it’s love, but God’s love is greater and is true love. And where is the love? 1 John 4:10 – Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Jesus died for you while you hated him, while you didn’t want him, while you love your sin and filth.

Anyway, Jesus Christ is God. You won’t see or know God, you won’t know his ways or think his thoughts or understand God and his ways without Jesus Christ. Jesus said, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. Why? Because Jesus said without being born again of the Spirit of GOd, the Spirit in him that he gives freely to all who believe on him in the world today, you cannot SEE or ENTER the kingdom of God. It’s why it is possible to talk till blue in the face to unbelievers and they just cannot see, that cannto understand, because without the Holy SPirit, all they have is the spirit of man, which is dead in sin, and thus they just aren’t on the same page as you, they do not speak the same thing, they don’t HEAR you. We may both be physically in the same room, but one is spiritually in the kingdom of the world and the other is spiritually in the kingdom of God. Both humans, both need salvaiton, but one got saved and was transformed by Jesus coming to dwell in them, and the other did not. It is wrong to seek God for the Spirit, it is wrong to seek God for a new car, you come to God when you are convicted of your sin. That’s the Holy Spirit’s role… to reprove the world of sin, of righteousness, of judgement. People are so foolish, it takes the light of Christ to open the eyes and ears of an unbeliever to even understand what I’m typing about and minister it to their hearts.

Yes, the gospel seems useless, Jesus is some guy who died thousands of years ago… it’s all dead. But no the gospel is the POWER of God unto salvation. The day you repent of your sins AND turn to Jesus Christ for salvation from them is the day you will be truly changed. Because Jesus in heaven hears your repentance, because he is God he is working on your heart drawing you to himself, and if you answer the call, he comes in to sup with you, to dwell with you forever, to abide with you and in you. He’s not a ritual, a process, a religion, he’s a person, God, in heaven now and through his Spirit sent into the world to seek and save the lost, he seeks people who will believe in him and what he did for them… TODAY. Today is the day!

We can discuss the things of God, but they won’t make sense, they won’t be life, till you first of all get saved, get right with God. What does God require of us? Repent and believe the gospel… that’s what Jesus preached. And he will do the rest. Because he did the rest, it is finished… at the cross. He sought you out, while you didn’t want him, while you didn’t even think about or will to want him, he shined in the prison. Jesus is God, God cannot be comprehended outside of him… if you see Jesus through the words of the Bible, then you do see God! The Bible produces the image of Christ in our minds and hearts, we form an image of him by God’s word describing him, who he is, what he has done. There is a true image, then there is idolatry… that image is corrupted by new Bibles, saying new things, new words, new teachings, and that image is tarnished, and changed from the image of Holy God defined by his own word, to an image made by man and defined by mankind’s thoughts and ways, what and who they think he should be, say and require. That is idolatry. God is God. If you haven’t been saved, you need to be saved. If you haven’t been truly saved, you are not in God’s kingdom, you are in the kingdom of this world, whose ruler is the devil. And he will take you to hell with him, you will live and waste your life and existence, and live deeper and deader in sin and darkness. Sure, you might have a good life, but time is short, this world is temporary, and time is running out, eternity is a long time, neglect your soul to your own peril. All of God is in Jesus, in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. You will not get God without going to the cross of Jesus Christ. Simple as that. If you see Jesus, you see God, if you believe Jesus, you believe in God. He is the way, the truth and the life today. If you want to see and enter the kingdom of God, you must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, that he died for you and rose for you in your place. Our sins are that bad, have made us fall THAT far, we are filthy and full of vanity, we need help from on high. It takes the Holy Spirit of God, the same Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit shed forth into all the world, calling people unto the gospel, reproving of sin, pointing to the blood that paid for sins… but will you answer the call? It takes God.
