Hello readers, stop the spread! It’s a different sort of blog today. It’s time to get thinking a bit, and this is a blog to get you thinking, and thinking about what the real issues are today. This blog is to stir you up a bit. I recently did a blog on the law of leprosy. Leprosy in the Bible is a picture of sin, and in this blog we want to see that sin is the real thing whose spread needs stopping. Sin is doing so much harm to our society, yet instead of treating it like you would a pandemic of the worst kind, sin is being promoted and provided for!

I am going to also be talking about coronavirus, now commonly referred to as covid. Because when I called this blog “stop the spread”, instantly you would have thought of covid. Stop the spread! That’s been the catch cry of the last year and a half now. I live in Australia, and in the state of South Australia. We have been fortunate here, in some other states, they’ve been in many lockdowns in the name of stopping the spread and dealing with the threat of covid.

It’s been hard not to be cynical and facetious about it all. I think about our government destroying citizen’s personal liberties, freedoms, jobs, businesses and lives all in the name of tackling this virus. Of course, the government itself and government jobs haven’t been affected. No, they get pay rises while the average hard working citizen has been forced to turn to welfare and government assistance.

There is justified skepticism about this virus and the threat it poses and how governments are handling it. Ok, it’s a virus, and it can cause death. But it’s mortality rate is amazingly low, and the average healthy person really has nothing to worry about with it. So when healthy people’s lives are being grossly violated by a power tripping government, something is wrong. In the law on leprosy, it was the sick people that got diagnosed and excommunicated, not the healthy.

The wonderful thing about the Bible is that in it, we see godly wisdom for every area of real life. The Bible is relevant for governance, for health, for business, for any aspect of life you can think of. The law of leprosy contains amazing wisdom directly transferable to dealing with infectious disease. But the law of the leper is even moreso pertinent and relevant when we understand it was pointing us to the even more contagious, infectious and deadly condition and characteristics of sin. In this blog hopefully you will see the hypocrisy of government claims, and how corrupt and in darkness this world system is. We are so worried about covid, but sin is endorsed, promoted and provided for in our society, and it’s a mass killer.

So in my country, the government is trying to compel people to take the vaccine. I’m sure you’ve heard there’s some vaccines going around. But all of them, they’re not vaccines. If you can still get the virus, carry it, and transmit it… it’s quite simply not a vaccine. Just look up what the word vaccine means, by definition it can’t be. It’s being marketed and pushed on perfectly healthy people who don’t need it. People are either gullible and stupid enough just to comply or they’re blackmailed by circumstances to get it. It’s blackmail when you take away someone’s ability to see a loved one unless you’re vaccinated.

There is no Biblical wisdom in our government. We have departed from the word of God, how could there be? The Bible has such good principles for what constitutes a good government, for what a government is and what the role of government is to do, and what provides for freedom. But when you’ve got a government that has long abandoned the word of God and doing what they think is right and what they think is best, you get madness. Madness is legalizing abortion, legalizing same sex marriage, legalizing alcohol, legalizing gambling, legalizing smoking… and then claiming you care about one life lost to a virus being too many?

As time has gone along, it’s become less about the virus and more about control and power. Sure, if a killer virus is out there, we should stop the spread. But why destroy your own country to do that? Why destroy jobs? Why take away people’s freedoms in the name of stopping the spread? Why censor a scientific community whose job it is to question and ensure that the vaccine is actually a vaccine and not harmful in any way to the poor sucker getting it? You know when something is being censored, when the air waves are being monopolized and manipulated that something nefarious is afoot. Censorship and control of flow of information is the signpost of a country that has lost its freedom. Censorship has been growing in recent years, they’re particularly targeting Christians and anybody who would stand for righteousness and truth of God’s word.

I really don’t want to use this blog to vent about the whole issue, but I am going somewhere with this. People with leprosy did have to isolate. To stop the spread, people diagnosed with leprosy were quarantined and excommunicated. Note, people with the actual disease are those that had to do this. Getting a highly questionable vaccine that is not a vaccine, which has shown to compromise your immune system, to treat a virus that won’t even harm you if you are remotely health is ludicrous. Furthermore, natural therapy and treatment is always better for you but that obviously doesn’t line big pharmaceutical pockets and a government and medical system that is in bed with them does it.

It’s really significant that it was the priest that performed the examination and diagnosis. As a Christian you should be able to see what the real problem is in society. It’s not covid. It’s sin.  Instead of walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, it’s time to wake up to what’s really going on. The children of Issachar had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do. So should Christians. Just like the priests, Christians should be able to identify the real problem, and it’s sin. And our government that claims to care so much about public health and safety doesn’t care about sin which is the true threat to all public health and safety. Sin is the root cause of all pain, suffering, disease and death in this world after all, read Genesis 3.

But I question the validity of the government’s concern about public health and safety. And remember, this world system is about what is financially and selfishly expedient first and foremost. As this has gone along I’ve thought about the immense contradictions and hypocrisy in all of this. The same government that is ok with alcohol, does next to nothing about drugs and smoking, the same government that okayed same sex marriage, the same government that provided adoption rights for sodomite couples, that has pushed through the LGBTQI agenda endlessly, that legalized abortion and made it not just easily accessible but promotes it as a human right, and the same government that is okay with euthanasia… you’re telling me they really care about public health and safety? Yeah nah. A wicked government promotes sin just as Ahasuerus promoted Haman when he should’ve promoted Mordecai. Promoting Haman was promoting death, Haman was planning to murder a whole lot people, he was a wicked man. My government has been busily promoting Haman and moreso the further they’ve gone into the darkness.

You see, this world lies in wickedness, exactly as the Bible says. Satan is the father of lies, and this entire world system is built on lies. The government doesn’t really care about the spread of many things which are far more lethal than this virus. They don’t even recognize them as a threat. It’s funny how we can misidentify the true threats to our nation, society and our own lives. The unbelieving sinner identifies Jesus Christ and Christians as the threat to him. He identifies the truth as a threat! So I was looking at data on alcohol related disease, violence, and death… and those statistics DWARF covid in my country. I was looking at data on drug related health problems and deaths, and those statistics are staggering. Look at the abortion numbers… astronomical. Look at the sexually transmitted disease numbers. Look at the quality of food on our shelves which are making people fat and unhealthy which is killing everyone. The whole system is ungodly and broken. This government is not about public health and safety at all. That’s the truth. You can comfort yourself with a false comfort all you want, but government and big pharmaceutical companies do not have your best or societies best at heart.

Maybe you think, oh the difference is this virus is contagious and things like alcohol are not. Well I beg to differ. Alcohol is very contagious. Why’s everyone drinking it? From the oldest to the youngest, in every bar, club, home… it’s spread through society like a virus. Everyone drinks. Everyone gets drunk. Everyone teaches everyone else to drink. That sounds like a high infection rate. And alcohol is ruining far more lives than this virus ever will. If my government cares so much about public health and safety, and it’s for our good, why not start with prohibition? Oh, the same government that has promoted so much fear about the spread of covid, they’re lining their pockets with alcohol money. Alcohol pays. Love of money is the root of all evil. You follow the money trails in gambling, alcohol, abortion… it’s sickening. You can’t mount a good case for alcohol other than you just justify it because you like drinking yourself. It causes endless problems in our society, HUGE problems, pervasive problems, it is highly contagious and infection and deadly… why aren’t we worried about that?

You see, what I’m getting to is the fact that sin is contagious. Is alcohol inherently evil? Maybe not… maybe it does have some medicinal value. Just like drugs that make it possible for you to have that surgery you need. It’s ironic that the same people that defend alcohol with the same breath would deny the right to bear arms. A gun isn’t inherently evil, a policeman wields one to defend life, why can’t free citizens? A gun has many good uses, and self defense, security and safety is a fundamental human right. Logical contradictions. Because we’re in a society contradicted with the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ. And the fact is, things like alcohol, drugs, gambling… they’re absolutely destroying the fabric of our society. That is indisputable. Sexual perversion and deviance of every kind, it’s broken down the most fundamental building block of society… families and homes. Think of the amount of children’s lives by a violation of the Biblical structure of the home, that never knew a father who loved their mother.

What about abortion? It’s spread just a little since that first legal abortion don’t you think? Seems that knocking off your kid and absolving yourself from responsibility by taking a life has caught on. It seems like the idea that homosexuality is fine has caught on. See, sin, wickedness… it’s contagious, it’s infectious, it’s spread to a home near you. Sin is spread through every medium, from books to TV to media to Facebook, it’s being promoted and normalized and forced on you. I think back to my time in sports, the pressure to drink came every time. The pressure to conform, the pressure to fit in. And nobody fights back because they don’t want trouble, they have Hezekiah’s “peace and truth in my day” attitude. I’ll leave the future wreckage and consequences to someone else to deal with so long as it doesn’t affect me.

If you aren’t yet convinced of how contagious sin is, where do you think kids drinking, smoking, doing drugs, having sex all comes from? Someone passed on their sin to them, and they pass it along. That’s how it’s spread to the point of where it’s accepted practice and normal. Sin spreads. Sin is VERY contagious. Sin has a soaring infection rate. Leprosy shows us what sin is. Are we going to do anything about the true leprosy in our society? But we don’t do we. Our government promotes sin. Our government provides for sin. Our government loves sin.

If you have suffered from covid, I am not diminishing from that. But it is time to start thinking more holistically, and more Biblically about this. The Bible is relevant to our society, it does lay out principles and wisdom for freedom, and that’s something we are all for. God did say, don’t sacrifice your kids to Molech… is it really that different today? They passed their children through the fire to the heathen god, it was an abomination to God. Our abortions today, if you think they’re wrong, would never have happened if our government followed Biblical principles that God gave his nation Israel. By the way, his nation was the best nation when they obeyed God. They were the lender, not the borrower. They were the head, not the tail. They were a nation that other nations would think, wow, this is a wise nation and understanding people, they do things better than us. They’re far wiser in how they live their lives, how their government operates, how they do business, how they have happy homes and families and a safe, sustainable, prosperous society.

But we pick and choose and make our own way. And that way that seems right unto a man, where does it end up? Death. Just as Proverbs says. Our society is feeding on death, from abortion to euthanasia… why do we worry about a little virus so much? It’s not all about public health and safety truly is it. This world system is full of lies, because it’s god is the father of lies. We don’t care about the true pandemic of sin at all. We legislate to protect it and promote it. Things are upside down. Just like if you read the book of Isaiah, just read the first chapter, you see their society was so messed up. Their thinking was reprobate, and so is ours. They called good evil and evil good, isn’t that what we are doing? They don’t know what the real problems are, much less how to fix them. They’ve put God out, and in doing so, they’ve forsaken wisdom’s voice, though she cries out to any who will hear and turn in today. Sin is such a big problem, you are scared of dying from covid… yet you’re not scared of going to hell? How messed up can you be?

To stop gun deaths, we want to take away people’s guns. But to stop alcohol deaths, we don’t want to take away their alcohol. Homosexuality and all sorts of sexual deviance is rife in the land, but we won’t remove them. For the record, the good kings of Judah did take away the sodomites in the land. They put them out. They knew the danger they were to society. Homosexuals are threats to society. They are predators, that is a Biblical fact. In Genesis 19, both the old and the young were at Lot’s door, trying to force themselves on him and his guests. The LGBTQI movement has grown and spread like a cancer, and they’re literally at your front door, in your living room on your TV demanding to be let in, forcing themselves on you.

Tolerance, acceptance and diversity was all a lie, fancy that, they just used that to get a foot in the door, because they are the least tolerant and accepting and diverse bunch. They’re not diverse at all, anyone who is diverse from that they persecute and destroy. Look how diverse they were in Sodom? The entire city was wicked to a man. The entire city was infected with the sodomite agenda, ideology and disease. Not even 10 righteous men in that whole city. Think about how their sin had spread. EVERYONE was a sodomite. Men and boys alike, all the same, the infection rate of their sexual sin made covid seem like child’s play. Wake up. First it was being understood, then recognized, then accepted, but now they’re the big cuckoo in the nest and they’re going to kick all the other little birds OUT. They were never going to be satisfied, just like hell is not satisfied either, why do you think hell is having to enlarge her mouth every day? Because of the multitudes pouring into it. Why don’t we care about that?

I said at the start of the blog that hopefully this would get you thinking about what the real issues are. The handling of this whole covid thing has been all about its infectiousness, about stopping the spread in the name of public health and safety. That’s all well and good and sounds nice in theory, and maybe you are trusting the government, trusting the process, trusting that someone knows what they’re doing. But what’s happening is freedoms and personal liberties are being stripped away, and we are kidding ourselves if we think the government is that dedicated to public health and safety. It’s about money, power and control. As it always is. And sure, that’s what this world system is and has to offer, and my salvation does not lie in it, neither does my hope or future. But I am still a real human being in a real world in a real country, and we are, as Christians, meant to have a salt and light influence on our nation. I’d rather live in a free nation than somewhere like China or Russia. Maybe you would too.

Just think about abortion. It started with the first legal abortion. And millions of abortions later… you think that ideology, you think that sin spread like a cancer? And our government legalized it, promoted it, provided for it, and endorsed it. You really think government is FOR life? By the way, I am not against government. God instituted government, but what we are seeing here is how flawed, fallen and corrupt our human government is. Our system is corrupt and it stinks, just like Isaiah 1 says, no soundness in it. But we know that when Jesus Christ returns, the government will be on his shoulder. He will govern in true righteousness and true holiness. That’s what my hope is in. When he bears rule. And finally this earth will see a righteous king in his righteous kingdom, and he WILL deal with sin. This current world system with its governments, it’s all lies, he will put them out. That image of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream got utterly smashed and done away with.

Jesus Christ comes back in flaming fire because there’s a lot of filth and sickness that needs to be purged. So don’t trust this world system to have your best at heart. They don’t. Trust in God. It is he who truly cares. It is he who truly sees the problem. It is he who tells you what the problem is. Sin is our problem, a universal problem. Jesus Christ died for our sins, he can forgive you, cleanse you, wash you, save you. Sounds like leper terms doesn’t it. A leper going from leprous all over to washed and cleansed is quite a transformation. Jesus Christ will heal you, inside to out. Call on him today, trust in him, he is true, righteous, holy, good, and he has your best at heart. That’s where the spread of the real deadly disease of sin will stop, in your life in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
