Dalai Lama Dilemma

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

If you were a keen follower of the Dalai Lama, you’d probably be a bit disappointed in him given what’s recently come to light.

It’s why you should follow Jesus Christ, and him alone.

The Dalai Lama is revered as a holy man, enlightened, of higher consciousness, a spiritual leader, and a “Christ” in this world… but he’s seemingly “come short” in recent times.

Jesus warned us about false Christs, and that not only encompasses all false representations of himself, but also Christlike figures like this man is exalted to be.

The Dalai Lama is referred to as “His Holiness”… but how holy do you really think he is?

But the thing is, the Dalai Lama holds position and esteem in the minds of many which he cannot live up to nor sustain.

Because no matter how highly he’s held, the Dalai Lama is just another human being like to rest of us who needs salvation from sin and the holiness of Jesus Christ in his life.

Because he cannot subdue his sinful nature that is in him, no matter how practiced, meditated, disciplined, devoted, determined and philosophical he is… and neither can we.

And the point of this post isn’t to knock him, his own actions have done that… but it’s worth thinking about this…

… All the belief systems of this world aim to produce people who are better versions of themselves worthy of acceptance with self, others or God… and yet this man at 87 after a whole lifetime in his religion… is no closer to self perfection than when he started.

It begs the question… why would you go down the road of self reformation, self liberation and establishment of your own righteousness and goodness… when if this man can’t measure up and comes short, what makes you think you ever could?

Not even he, with all his supposed reincarnations “have another go-es at life” and a lifetime of dedication to his religion, can attain to subjugation and liberation from his sin fallen nature that we all are born with.

Because the fact is,… humanity needs solutions to sin, death and hell… but the Dalai Lama doesn’t have the solutions, nobody does… except Jesus Christ.

If you’ve have ever had your opinion or judgment disqualified by someone because “you’re not perfect”… then so has the Dalai Lama suffered this same fate.

But in truth, we would all be disqualified just like him, because none of us are perfect…

But Jesus is. And THAT is what qualifies him for your belief and obedience. Jesus Christ’s perfection qualifies himself as the only one worth listening to, who has the authority to speak and command, and is in fact, fully qualified to dictate terms and conditions for life to you.

Which he does. And that’s why what you do with Jesus Christ determines whether you’re right with God now, and where you go when you die.

If you’re trying to make yourself a better person, increase your consciousness, become more aware, spread peace and love… perhaps that’s all a noble pursuit… you could be doing far worse… but still, you’ll never win that battle with sin in your life.

Because all have sinned and all have come short. And if everyone comes short, why would you ever try to measure up yourself? Because it is only in Jesus Christ that any of us will ever measure up to God’s perfect standard for righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:13 “ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 32 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)
