Give Us Barabbas – When You Choose A Murderer

Matthew 27:16 – And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

Matthew 27:17 – Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

Matthew 27:18 – For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

Matthew 27:19 – When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Matthew 27:20 – But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Matthew 27:21 – The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Matthew 27:22 – Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Matthew 27:23 – And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Hello readers, today is a bit of a different blog. Apologies if it’s a bit convoluted, a lot of thoughts in here, I will try to keep it coherent! Give us Barabbas, and I will be looking at this in the context of the ongoing George Floyd and Donald Trump saga. In case you don’t know (it would have been hard to miss!), George Floyd was a black man who was killed by a white police officer in custody in Minneapolis. It has been the tipping point that has given way to racial tensions spilling over into violent protests and riots over the country. You know, when you’re in the Bible, you should have wisdom to see situations for what they are, despite how the media frames it, and sometimes things aren’t what they seem. This is the case here. The mob is not right, the mob is not justified. And today I want to discuss it all a bit, because people, and many Christians, hook up their train to all sorts of thinking, beliefs and movements without seeing anything for what it truly is. If such big lies sweeping our countries are so easily being believed, how much more easily deceived will people be in the future with the rise of the beast? We see a people who truly want lies, who truly embrace delusion, people just like those who desired Barabbas over Jesus Christ. You know, you truly are an idiot, you are truly stupid, how dumb can you be to want a murderer over the sinless Saviour? How could you get to such a place in life where you want darkness over light, lies over truth, evil over good… and be so deceived about it in the process thinking you know it all?

So, I have been thinking about Barabbas recently, this fella came to mind with all the riots going on. You see, there is a pattern established in the Bible that holds true in this situation. Right off the bat, from what I know, what the police officer did to George was wrong. There is no question. But I would say that in inner city, cops probably deal with a lot of rubbish on a daily basis. Additionally George Floyd had health considerations which made him a lot more susceptible to someone treating him in such a manner. His death went viral on social media and the rest is in the news currently (for better or worse). But the outcry, the movement… it’s so pretentious. It’s as pretentious as those crying out we have no king but Caesar. How pretentious was that cry? Now they’re law abiding citizens when it suits? You know, movements often, if not always, they’re not what they claim to be. You can fool yourself all you want. The heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things the Bible says that for a reason. These guys had badly wanted a Jewish king to deliver them from Roman occupation… just turned out Jesus wasn’t the king they wanted. I want to dwell on what matters today, which is the Bible, and seek the Bible for some wisdom on all this. The Bible is useless if it doesn’t relate to real life.

But before I’m branded a racist, let’s just think about it. I believe the Bible, so I believe we all come from one man, Adam. So black or white, we all have equal worth… all come from Adam. Furthermore Jesus was born and died for all of us, because we all equally need salvation. So when I’m branded a racist by idiots who believe in evolution, who’s philosophies have given way to the abortion industry, to eugenics, to the holocaust, to Ota Benga on display in New York city zoo… just have a think about your position first. Black or white or pink or yellow, we are all equally human, we are all of equal worth, we all were made in the image of God, we all are equally in need of salvation and we are equally candidates for salvation. Galatians 3:28 – There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. I am not racist at all, racism is a word that gets thrown around to intimidate and bully people, but this whole thing is not truly about black man being a victim of bad white man, and in fact they’re just being used to advanced the real causes. Satan is the prince of this world, he hates you black or white, and he uses you to advance his kingdom of this world, ultimately mobilizing the world against the Lord Jesus Christ, against knowing truth, against getting saved, against having life, against building a happy, safe, peaceful life. So on with the blog…

Jesus had been arrested, he was being tried, and Pilate couldn’t find a thing wrong with him. He was innocent after all, the only man to ever not sin at all… how could one find fault? So he wanted to release Jesus, and they had a custom to release a prisoner unto the Jews at that time of the year. So old Pilate hatches a plan. I’ll give the Jews a choice between this man Jesus, and a I’ll find our worst prisoner, one they’ll surely not pick just because he’s so bad. So Pilate chose a man called Barabbas to offer to the Jews. He gave them a choice between such a good man and such a bad man because surely they’d choose Jesus right? They didn’t. They cried out for the release of Barabbas. Just think about that. It’s amazing. How can your hatred for someone blind you that badly to produce such rotten fruit. They were so “moral” yet look how completely ridiculous their morality was where a good man undeservedly arrested they wanted not just remaining captive, but also killed via crucifixion. The worst possible death, painful slow and horrible. Make sure your moral code isn’t flawed in the same way as these fellows. They wanted him crucified in the name of their own morality, a man who was the only one truly moral. Moral movements, social justice movements, purporting to be moral… they really aren’t way they claim to be. You see, not everything, in fact most things aren’t what they claim to be. Why does wisdom cry out… HOW LONG will you simple ones love your simplicity?

So I talk with people, I see stuff on Facebook. It’s all Donald Trump bashing. It’s ended up being Donald Trumps fault… again. He’s always at fault, stick or twist, yes or no, up or down. Here’s a president who, hate him or not, has stood by things which align with God’s word. Is he Jesus Christ? No. Do I know if he’s saved? No. But he’s stood by the constitution, he’s stood by law, and he recently got into trouble for taking a photo holding a Bible outside a church. The pattern of Barabbas or Jesus holds true in life. Donald Trump has been demonized by a media that is so mad at him. By left wing politics who’s socialistic, globalistic, progressive (really regressive), anti God, anti Bible, anti Christ agenda has been thwarted by someone they portray as a buffoon. You know what, God can use a buffoon. God loves to use stupid things… if he can use a donkey jaw… he can use Donald Trump. He’s made them mad. They’ve resorted to their lies, their slander, their false accusations… a bombardment… so corrupt. Isn’t that what Jesus experienced? George Floyd was a criminal, he lived a criminal life. The reason he was in custody was because he was doing criminal things. That’s not Trump’s fault, that’s Floyd’s fault. Instead of fathering his child, instead of abiding by the law of the land, he lived a life in violation of it. Yet he’s been made a hero. Yet it’s become about a story of black oppression. These same people driving this narrative are those who birthed the abortion industry to cull black numbers, who wanted to keep slavery… it’s amazing how twisted what’s what can get. Many black people may well just be worse slaves than they ever were. Wasn’t that Israel’s story? 400 years slaves, but even out of Egypt, they still were slaves… because true slavery or freedom lies in the condition of your heart, in the spirit. If you are a servant of sin, you are a slave of sin. It’s not about black people at all, this whole thing. A black person can take power in his or her life and change the story without needing a government to empower them to do it anytime they choose. But they prefer slavery.

Where were Floyd’s friends and family and the black community during his life? Nowhere. Now they come out the woodwork. Whites kill blacks. Whites kill whites. Blacks kill blacks. Blacks kill whites. You know what the problem is? Sin. Mankind is rotten to the core. Heaps of white people get killed by cops. Heaps of black men rape white women. Think of all the black and white business owners, car owners, property owners affected by all the looting and theft which has escalated to assault and murder. Is that really justified? But maybe, just maybe, it truly honors who Floyd really was. Jesus death produced disciples who would sacrifice their own lives to tell others about forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus. Floyd’s death has produced carnage. Hmm.

Look, we live in a world that belongs to Satan, so we are never going to make it a better place. This world is doomed, so our call isn’t to political movements, but to telling the people the gospel. But when you’re saved, you see things differently. You know the truth. America had been such a successful prosperous nation because of the God it was founded upon. Citizen’s freedoms came not from the government (which if they did, they could then take and give freedom as they pleased), but from an untouchable constitution that granted freedom and liberties and rights granted by God in his word. Donald Trump… the man has done wrong things and he does wrong things… but there is no doubt God has honored his presidency. There has been a God consciousness, a Bible awareness to his presidency. Do we have the guts to hold our Bible up? Isaiah 59:19 – When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. You know what, when we lift up God’s word, that is the standard being lifted up. And there is a tide that has come in like a flood. There is a flood of lies being spread by the media, there is a flood of misinformation, there is an Amalekite style story of events, that same Amalekite David had enough wisdom to know was lying and whom David killed. Maybe we need to eliminate some sources from which rivers of lies flow into our hearts in our lives to get our brains back? Satan is in the flooding business, he loves to flood us with lies. Revelation 12:15 – And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. The flood is on.

I see the hatred for President Trump, and it’s being whipped up by the media. Who whipped that mob up, to such a point they were DEMANDING Jesus to be crucified him? See, they were stirred up. Someone’s doing some stirring. Someone with an agenda. There were people inciting them. Have you been incited and stirred and you’re just doing someone’s dirty work? Are you just being used in the big game of life? You know those people didn’t care about them beyond what they could get out of them? Maybe the people you think care for you actually don’t. In fact they don’t. If you don’t have Jesus you got noone buddy. Black people need to stop blaming. They love their blame… don’t we all? Are we going to blame Trump for the sky high abortion rates? Are we going to blame Trump for not fathering our children? Or how about take responsibility for your life, stop blaming, get in God’s word and build. God’s word builds, God’s word plants… read Jeremiah 1. But first things need to be torn down, and rooted out. What needs to be torn down and rooted out? The bitterness, the envy, the blame, the pride… and that needs to happen for all of us individually, black and white. You may just end up being so twisted in your mind that you choose a murderer over the sinless Lamb of God. That’s where Satan wants you. Why be a puppet of his propaganda machine? The media is in the devil’s hand, he is the accuser, that’s all news is… it’s full of accusations. The devil is a slanderer, that’s all the news is, it slanders. Why is Trump the target? Could it be because Satan knows who his enemy is? When the world is against someone, it’s usually proof they’re on the right path. They hated Jesus, they’ll hate you. They hate Trump. What has he done so wrong really?

Look how insane it’s made people. People say he’s racist, while criticizing his skin colour. People say he’s divisive and violent, while wishing harm upon him and his family. You know, they demonized Jesus Christ. You know, they said Jesus was breaking the law. They said he had a devil. They tried to use the law to trip Jesus up. Pretty good at twisting the story huh? And that’s what they’re doing to Trump. He’s been demonized, he’s the bad guy. They certainly made Jesus the bad guy, read his trial, it was a kangaroo court, it was a joke. There was NO truth to it. Trump’s not Jesus, but we shouldn’t do like they did to Uriah… retreat away from someone in the fight. We should never leave someone for dead who is standing for what’s right, who is doing right. If Trump does wrong, if he turns against God’s word, then by all means let’s follow God’s word. Politically in America what’s the alternative? Every democrat totes abortion to full term, every democrat hates the constitution and wants to tear it down, they hate God. They are systemically and institutionally against God’s word. They want to destroy America. They want to destroy a nation which has had the light of God for so many years, but a light, a truth, a freedom that’s being eaten and eaten away at from inside. You know, you can look at a building that looks ok from outside, yet it is condemned because it’s been so totally eaten inside out by termites.

You know, Israel didn’t value their freedom and where and who it came from… til they lost it. Then God would show mercy and restore them, then they wouldn’t value it again. Freedom can be taken folks. Floyd’s been made a hero, who lived his life as a criminal. He’s the face for a redemptive movement it appears. You know, the media have a lot to answer for. They are a bunch of devils spreading lies, spreading a false narrative. They’re making a story, then making the evidence fit. Read 2 Samuel 1… there was an Amalekite… he was the media to David… and he was a liar and his evidence was a load of rubbish. Look, you’ll lose hope if you are invested in this world. Jesus said his kingdom was not of this world, if it was then would his servants fight. One day Jesus will return and finally righteousness will reign, until then it’s a battle. We are just meant to be salt and light where we are. National deliverance comes later, but what is most important individually is spiritual deliverance. We all must be made alive, set free spiritually. All what we have discussed, this is just part of living real life, but issues of life flow from the heart. So where is your heart at? Why do people believe such a different narrative? Because these same people reject God’s word, they call God a liar, they spit in his face. Do those that say they want freedom really want it? What was the freedom they wanted… slavery to Caesar. All because they hated Jesus so. Why would you choose a murder? Because you hate Jesus. People hate God so much they’ll choose a murdering thieving rebel. It’s time for the dead to wake up, black and white alike. The difference is skin deep, we are all sinners, we all need personal salvation. To finish, look what Peter preached early on in the book of Acts.

Acts 3:13 – The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

Acts 3:14 – But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Acts 3:15 – And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

You know, we have talked about the root cause… sin. But there is a solution to sin, Jesus Christ. However, when you reject him, this is what you get, choosing Barabbas. That’s what the condemnation is… light has come into this world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. They hated Jesus Christ because he exposed their sin, they hated his word… and look what you get. A pretentious movement, a joke of a cause, they wanted an innocent man crucified and a murderer let go. Are you that big of a joke all because you similarly reject Jesus and his word? At the root cause of your life, everything will stem from where you are at with Jesus. If you reject him, you are rejecting light, rejecting truth. We all need the truth, we all need a stinging rebuke, we all need to be set straight on what the actual facts are. Wake up one and all. Arise from your sleep, Christ will give you light. White or black, black or white… Hey, stop choosing the murderer in your life, how about choose Jesus Christ, choose the Prince of life. Or you that upside down you’ll hero the murderer and demonize the only sinless man in existence? Are you that twisted? Why choose lies? Why choose death? Why choose curse? You value Barabbas and despise Jesus Christ? The Bible says… my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… have you been completely destroyed by a tale as fanciful as the very first fanciful tale that was spun to Eve in the garden the day of man’s death? Choose the word of God, be the Lord’s freeman, be Christ’s servant. Get your life centered on a right cause, a noble cause, a true cause. Stop being played for a fool by people and movements that don’t care one second for you truly. And you know what? Jesus Christ raised from the dead. If you’re on team Jesus Christ, you’re ultimately on the blessed winning side no matter what happens next in this dark, evil world.

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 32 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)

  1. Wow…. this was….sigh. I was searching for scripture and clarification, and I’m sorry, but this didn’t help. To align George Floyd with Barabbas and Jesus Christ’s unjust persecution with the criticisms of Donald Trump, an adulterer who’s been married three times? Who hasn’t even been able to quote a single scripture? Who doesn’t even attend church regularly? Wow. Why?

It could have been easily said as much that Barabbas is Trump- that in the fear of losing your “rights” and the upholding of the Constitution (which has several Amendments, widly interpreted by many), that we’ll choose anything that will justify our views, even if that means it’s a murderer. We as Christians did just that- we elected an adulterer and a liar and a cheat, tried to pretend that we could somehow redeem him by praying for him, throwing scripture at him, and Christianizing him. It didn’t work. In our effort to save our “faith,” we lost focus on who we should trust and should put our focus on — GOD.

To equivocate Trump’s trials to that of Christ’s persecution, and to put George Floyd, a man who had an officer kneel on his neck for eight minutes while the crowd pleaded with him to stop until he died— is flabbergasting. For “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”- in order for your argument to stand, then there must be an assumption that George Floyd deserved his death, and that Trump did not deserve the persecution of the press. Is that what you’re saying? Because it sounds a lot like that. Sorry, but this is not sound. The main focus of this article should have been that we should trust in God- not in the law or the president (who doesn’t even live as though he honors God) and that no government, no law, outrules God’s righteousness. But hey, I know this doesn’t align with what you’re trying to say, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t see this comment posted. That’s okay. But this is a warning to you to be careful with how you interpret what you call “good and evil,” lest you too become what you judge.

    • Hello concerned person. Thanks for your comment. I’m glad you are concerned, but what you are concerned about and what you should be concerned about are clearly worlds apart judging by what you’ve written by your own hand.

There’s plenty of scripture and clarification both in this post and many other posts I’ve made. There’s enough for you to read for many days, and I point people to the Bible and truth and relate it to real life and real happenings in this world, which is what the Bible is for. It’s useless if not relevant for our lives here and now.

Sure, it may not have helped… but that’s not because it isn’t true, but because it’s not the truth you’re looking for. Which isn’t my fault. But yours. This didn’t help you because of you, not because of me or not because of any issue with which I wrote.

The Bible teaches us many truths and principles which relate to our real lives in this world. And the principle in Bible is clear, people would rather choose Barabbas over Jesus, lie over truth, darkness over light… why? Because their deeds are evil. They chose Barabbas because they hated Jesus so much. People will vote for a pedophile in Biden and a baby killer in Harris just because they hate Trump so much. Even though Trump’s done more for blacks, for the economy, more for protecting Christians than these guys do. These guys are against the Bible in every facet. But people will vote for them, because of their hatred for Trump. This doesn’t mean Trump is Jesus Christ, because he isn’t.

People got upset over Floyd’s death, but they aren’t upset over the millions of aborted babies, they aren’t upset over the police officers murdered in the fallout, they aren’t upset over white children gunned down outside their home. Pretty selective huh. They’re upset about someone like Floyd, who for all the high road you are on, it’s highly likely you’d have walked the other side of the street to avoid him.

Donald Trump is by far the best US president in my lifetime. Sure, he’s done wrong and does wrong, but in his presidency, he’s aligned closer to the Bible and has a consciousness of God and God’s word and he respects the law and constitution… this is already far more than can be said for all the rest of the US presidents and candidates combined. Yes he’s married and been remarried, yes he’s a sinner, but he puts many Christians to shame with the very public life he’s leading and leading well in the face of intense slander and lies and warping of truth that he’s been subjected to for four years. Which you clearly have bowed to by the way.

I’d be interested to see who you will vote for seeing as you’re so far above Trump? Would it be Biden? Harris? Or no vote at all… which just means someone else makes the decision, just like Pilate trying to wash his hands of Jesus Christ. Pathetic. See people will slam Trump, but look the other way when it comes to other people.

Nowhere did I say Floyd deserved to die. But as the facts have come out, he was resisting arrest, on drugs, and a career criminal. Pleading? He could’ve been raising his daughter, instead he’s out doing crime. That same pleading crowd for Floyd, is the same crowd running through cities smashing things, burning things, assaulting, raping, killing. Please. I’m sure the woman he traumatized by holding a gun to her pregnant belly breathes a little easier knowing he won’t terrorize her again.

My trust, and the trust I tell readers to place, is in God’s word and the Lord Jesus Christ. Trump is not Jesus Christ, nor is a president or a political candidate or a political party the solution for society. The solution is when the Christians, people like you who claim to know God and trust God, with all the virtue you are espousing, forsake your life of sin, fake morality and repent. It’s when you get in God’s word and obey it in your life out of a heart that is submitted to the authority of God’s word.

If you are going to warn me about interpretations, well you didn’t even interpret what this blog was about at all, as what you’ve said shows you haven’t read any of my many blogs nor this one. You haven’t even got logical consistency in your argument because you are so morally indignant about floyd’s treatment and death, completely overlooking his immoral and sinful life, while slamming trump for his sin in his life. Classic. That’s what’s truly not sound in here. You’ll hate on Trump, and you’ll take up for Floyd. You’ll pick trump’s very public life to pieces, but you’ll gladly gloss over Floyd. Even the little we know about Floyd is he was a wicked man.

By all means trust in God as you say. Many say they trust God. Well hopefully you actually do it in your life. By the way, trusting God goes far beyond just a cliche to sound spiritual. Search the scriptures Jesus said, for in them ye think ye have eternal life. It’s a big book. God used many kings and people you’d thumb your nose at, and he can use Trump as well. How about go through David’s life? This doesn’t excuse his sin nor justify it, but God sees the heart and sees things how they truly are. You need to start seeing things for what they truly are. Get in the book and the Holy Spirit will enlighten you and you’ll see what’s what and who’s who. Trusting God is trusting his word and his word being the authority.

The principle is crystal clear. Your hatred of Trump, blind hatred, will make you choose a murderer. People blindly hate trump, but they’ll take up for someone like Floyd. That is an amazing double standard. Oh and if your life was for all to see like Trump’s, how would it look if someone ran a fine tooth comb over it? Trump’s a sinner, Jesus Christ is the solution. But I’ll take up for a president who respects the Bible, the constitution, law and who’s done some good in his presidency.

  2. Joseph,
I’ve read your blog several times, and I’ve mediated on what you wrote. You make some very sound biblical points in your blog, but you also make some equally unfound truths. In several instances in your article, you make some assertions without having any proof. You go to great lengths to extend grace to Mr. Trump, but in the same vain you make great efforts to degrade Mr. Floyd, as though you know him personally. As I’ve followed the Floyd case, the same media that you slam for being brutal on Mr. Trump also reported falsehoods about the Floyd case. And you’ve reported them as the truth in your article. You talk very freely about a loving Jesus, and He truly is loving. However, you seemingly don’t show that same type of love to others, especially in your response to “Concerned Person”. You cast some broad aspersions/generalizations about blacks that border on racism, a claim that you repeatedly denied in your writings. Sounds like the same language that Satan used “slave masters” to make about slaves. You assert that “Concerned Person” has blind hatred toward Mr. Trump; I’m sorry but you don’t know that person’s heart. This person may disagree with Mr. Trump or even dislike Mr. Trump. Only God searches the heart and knows. In closing, God has always convicted me to choose the highroad when I’m having a disagreement with others; I would encourage you to do the same.

    • Hello Pastor Joe, thanks for your comment. You’re accusing me of speaking lies (which is what equally unfound truths are) and of me being racist (yes that’s what bordering on racism is really saying). Both are unfounded and untrue accusations with no substance because there is none. “Concerned person” can speak for and defend him/herself, that person is free to do so. You’re also accusing me of not loving people. Well I’m sure you would have said that about John the Baptist, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jesus Christ… they said a lot of hard things, were they unloving? Being unloving is the standard accusation levelled against any man of God speaking the truth designed to stop them from speaking the truth. Truth is always perceived as “you don’t love me”. But love and truth cannot be separated, you cannot love someone if you don’t love them in truth. Could I have responded with more grace? Perhaps, I try to roll the stone away, not keep it there. But Jesus responded to different people in different ways, there’s a time to speak and a time not to speak, there’s a time to be sharp and a time to be soft.

I’m not convinced I need to post any rebuttal or clear my name so to speak as it’s clear you haven’t really read my blog and reply … and if you have, you haven’t represented who I am, what I believe (which is God’s word) and what I stand for (which is also God’s word)… which is available for all to see, not just in this blog, but across my many posts I’ve made across many years. And the logic and rationale of your post contradicts itself, you’ve called me a liar, racist, and unloving while making your case based on me not knowing a commentor’s heart or Floyd personally.

For future information, God convicts us to choose the “narrow” road, not the “high” road… and it’s a road less traveled. Before we ever get on the “Romans” road, we need a “Damascus” road… the road where Christ stops us in our tracks in life. You know, that road where we think we know what we are doing and where we are going, and even maybe doing something for God… but really we are against Jesus Christ, against truth, and in darkness.

I’m nothing, never was and don’t claim to be, this blog is about Jesus Christ and his word. He is the light of the world. Just make sure you’re right with him and give other people the gospel, which is that Jesus Christ died for each one of us, because we are all sinners needing forgiveness, mercy, grace, hope, love, eternal life. Revival starts with the Christians getting right with God, and getting on God’s page, which is his word, which is the truth. If we are on his page personally, then we will be on the same page toward other believers. And only then will we be salt and light in this dark, evil world. Let God be true and every man a liar.

      All the best, Joseph.

  3. My grandfather (not great grandad or later generations) had his farm taken by the Soviets in Ukraine. He saw what was coming, and packed his children and belongings onto a cart, drawn with the only horse that was not confiscated “for the people”. I see “it” creeping in on us. First, destroy the family and moral fiber. Here. Have government take over education, economy, and all else. Almost here. The playbook is clear. Cuba, Venezuela, etc., all went down the same path. It does not take long for a regime to enslave an entire nation, which is the endgame.
Your Barabbas analogy is spot on. Read it twice!!!

    • Thanks for your comment Timothy, appreciate it, and thank God he has given us his word, which is the truth that sets us free and which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. A Bible reading and believing people cannot be enslaved. We are salt and a light in a very dark and evil world 🙂

    • Hello Jake, thanks for your comment. Jesus said we would know the truth, and the truth would set us free. When you read your Bible, the Holy Spirit ministers the word of God to our very real lives. It is relevant to every area of our life, being the book of life. I only post what God shows me in scripture. Also, Jesus is not being nailed to that cross ever again, he died once and rose from the dead alive forevermore. Because he lives, I live, and I write what I write to declare his word, and lift him up for all men to see. There are many posts on my blog for you to read all about Jesus Christ, which point you to getting into the Bible yourself and founding and grounding your life in the word of God. All the best, thanks Joseph.
