2 Samuel 1:2 – It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

2 Samuel 1:3 – And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

2 Samuel 1:4 – And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

2 Samuel 1:5 – And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

2 Samuel 1:6 – And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

2 Samuel 1:7 – And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

2 Samuel 1:8 – And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

2 Samuel 1:9 – He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

2 Samuel 1:10 – So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

Hey all, different type of blog today. Today’s blog is about two narratives, there is an Amalekite’s narrative, and then there is God’s narrative. We will see today that right in the Bible we have a picture of the evolutionary/”scientific” account vs God’s account of what happened, how we got to be here. I was recently looking at Genesis 4, the sons of Cain, and when you read Genesis, you begin the realize… these guys weren’t idiots. All our lives we are told that man began as simple caveman idiots. Yet these guys were way smarter than us, before the flood, these guys invented things just for fun. Looking through Genesis 4 we see sons of Cain achieving amazing things in terms of discoveries and inventions. These guys knew a ton more than we do, these guys were smarter than us.However, the narrative has been hijacked. God’s word is the narrative of humanity, it tells the story from beginning to ending, because the Lord Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending. Evolution and it’s associated theory, philosophy is nothing other than an attack on God himself, it calls God a liar again, and again, and again. You cannot be saved and believe evolution, how can you be saved and be calling God a liar? There is no compromise, there is no agreement to be had with Satan and his lies. God separated the light from the darkness. You are in one boat or the other. Light or darkness, there is no mixing, there is no bits of both. I would highly recommend you read 1 Samuel 31 and 2 Samuel 1. People wonder why does the Bible contain two narratives, two accounts of how Saul died? God is showing us something MASSIVELY important today. There is the account of God, and there is the account of an Amalekite, there is the witness of God, and there is the witness of an Amalekite, there is the testimony of God, and there is the testimony of an Amalekite, there is the truth of God, and there is the lie of the Amalekite. Throughout history we see two streams, two paths, two roads. There are two kingdoms, you are either in God’s camp, or in Satan’s camp. Today, we are looking at a tale of two narratives. Evolution vs the Biblical creation account are two competing narratives. One is a vicious lie being peddled by an Amalekite, another is the liberating truth of God. One cannot be trusted, but instead should be trashed, but the other is absolute truth from absolute authority and should be treasured, protected, kept, believed.

You may think I’m reaching with this blog today, but just read this blog out and give it a chance. The narrative has been hijacked. Like this Amalekite hijacked the narrative, so evolution has hijacked the telling of how the world came to be, why the way it is the way it is, how we got here. Countless discoveries are swept under the rug because they do not suit, but evolutionists grab bits and pieces of the puzzle, and come brandishing them in an effort to further legitimize their theory, just as this Amalekite brought a piece of the battle, Saul’s sword. This sword proved nothing, just as bones prove nothing, bones do not come with dates on them, there is no way to tell anything really from bones, you cannot ever prove that any particular set of bones had kids, so you can’t draw an conclusions. Evolution is a massive lie, but it does have bits of truth. After all what better way to package a lie than to mix it with a bit of truth, this mixing makes it all the more palatable, it makes it seem all the more legitimate. There two people telling a narrative to your soul today. There is Satan’s narrative, and God’s narrative. Kingdom of darkness or kingdom of light. There are no third, fourth, fifth options. You can tell a lie a billion ways, but there is one truth. God’s word is truth, God’s word doesn’t ever change, truth doesn’t need to be changed people! Truth doesn’t need to be changed! The Bible gets mocked over it’s assertions, and then gets proved right. The Bible is always right in the end. Those who scoff and mock the accuracy and truth of the word are always shown to be liars in the end, no exceptions. Sure we don’t understand heaps of the Bible, not because it’s wrong, just because our knowledge and understanding is so finite. People thought the earth was flat, they had not read the book of Isaiah, which mentions the circle of the earth. People didn’t understand what the Bible meant by “paths of the seas” in Psalms 8, but oceanographer Matthew Maury discovered ocean currents because he believed the Bible. The narrative has been hijacked. Will you believe the lie that sucks up to you, trying to win your affection, trying to seduce and entice you with a lie, which would have you believe a lie and not the truth, will you believe your enemy? The Amalekites were mortal enemies of Israel, and yet here comes a bold Amalekite seeking to win king David’s favor. Satan is bold, he is not afraid to come right up to you just like Sennacherib came up to the walls of Jerusalem and fired a torrent of audacious propaganda in faith king Hezekiah’s face.

Discoveries that do not fit in are hidden. And evidence is wrested in favour of evolution, when they do not legitimize evolution at all. There is evidence for the flood everywhere which is touted as pillars for evolutionary history! It is a tale of two narratives. There was the account of Saul’s death by God, and then the account of Saul’s death by an Amalekite. The Amalekite was a liar. People have always tried trumping God’s record of what happened. And this is all pictured for us in the story of Saul’s death. Out of the camp of Saul came this Amalekite. What’s coming out of the camp to you? He came out of Saul’s camp, Saul was unfaithul, he was ungodly, he spared the Amalekites which God had delivered to him to destroy. Amalekites come out of Saul’s camp, and so you can expect Amalekites to come out of Saul camps. They come out of ungodly, Bible rejecting places, such as Saul was. Universities, public school systems are ungodly Bible rejecting places.  They reject God’s word, Saul rejected God’s word, and lying Amalekites are produced there, and come from their camp.

The Biblica account versus man trying to make their own account, oh wow. Evolution has mankind getting smarter and better, Bible has mankind getting dumber and worse. Early man was advanced, look at the sons of Cain, the story has been hijacked! These guys were inventors, discoverers, city builders, empire creators. This Amalekite grabbed Saul’s weapon as proof and brought it to David. This proof was no proof at all, but he brought ot to attempt to legitimise his story. And so these doctors, and phds, and experts come brandishing a bit of “pseudo” proof to back up their claims. Do you cower down to them? Are you able to see through them? The false prophet of Revelation causes everyone to worship the beast. What false prophet causes you to believe evolution. The scientific method is a false prophet, a false gauge on determining absolute truth. The scientific method by definition eliminates God, by definition rules out the spiritual world. Yet we all fall down to the beast because of it. Yes this is going to happen in the future, but spiritually the fundamentals are all the same. This sword was a false prophet in the sense it could’ve caused David to believe his lie. We will see how David handled this Amalekite soon enough.

You are only as smart as you are in the word of God. How well do you know your Bible? Do you fear the Lord? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That’s where it starts. You may be an intellectual giant, you may be a know all, but you know NOTHING without the fear of the Lord. It is Jesus that knows everything, I don’t. But I can rest in the fact he does. The Bible says that in him are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. When Christ is in you, then suddenly you are smarter, not because you are smart, but because God in you is. The Amalekite grabbed bits and pieces from the battle, but hid the rest from David. He hid the rest because he did not tell David the whole truth. You are hiding truth from people if you do not tell them the full truth. Evoltuionists hide and obscure evidence that does not support their claim, or suit their agenda. There are countless discoveries that we are not told about. But when they are ready, they come furnishing the bits and bob to tell you the story. But if you are listening to the Amalekite tale, you are not getting the full story. Only when you are a man of faith, when you are in the word of God, abiding and meditating in the word, then you can be like David who was able to see straight through this Amalekite and deal accordingly. David didn’t even need to be told the whole account, all he needed to do was live and abide by the word and the  rest would be taken care of. I hope this makes sense.  Put another way, It’s ok for you not to know stuff. What you need to know is the Bible. We will never know nearly anything in the scope of everything. You might not be able to answer certain questions, but that doesn’t mean you will ever be fooled, because David wasn’t. We don’t need to know all the hows and whys of the origins of the earth, how Cain got his wife, when the devil fell, etc etc, sure God has the answers and there are answers to those questions (they’re just an example), but your salvation doesn’t hinge on these issues, and these issues can become quite distracting from the important things at hand. Don’t waste your time with trivial, petty arguments.

The evidence in fact supports the Biblical narrative. And always will, because that is the true narrative. But that won’t stop Amalekites from coming with their “evidence” and claiming something else. Can you see through the Amalekites like David did? Amalekites are trying to get into your camp. Into your army. They will weaken and destroy you. Amalekites trying to earn you favour. But test these Amalekites, as David did. And how do you test them? Line them up against God’s word. God’s word is the plumbline, the measurement of truth. If you measure people and their words against God’s word you will be fine. Saul was God’s anointed king and this Amalekite was boasting of his disregard for God’s word. What this Amalekite was claiming to have done was contrary to God’s word. Something that David never did. David never killed Saul, and he had his chances, and he would’ve been well justified in doing so you could easily argue. David respected the anointing of God, this Amalekite did not. Does the Amalekite that comes to you adhere to the word of God? Does he bow to the anointed one, the Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ? You can’t respect the word of God on one hand, and call him a liar on the other. This Amalekite was a liar. The Amalekite is lying to you! The Amalekite was an enemy of God, and an enemy of Israel. Saul had refused to destroy the Amalekites, and here this Amalekite got him, or so he said! But don’t miss the irony. Sparing the Amalekites is not an option, they won’t spare you when they have you down. Don’t listen to God’s enemies. God’s enemy is your enemy. The Amalekites warred against Israel when they finally got out of Egypt.

This Amalekite calimed to come from the battle! Wow. Does this not adequately represent the doctors, the phds, the experts of today. I am certified, I am qualified, I am an authority on these things… listen to me! They’re such authorities on things, they never shirk to flash their credentials. In, Jude 1:16 the Bible speaks of men who … their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. They get the advantage over you with a title in their name. They say you’re dumb and we’re smart. It’s all lies. You are smarter than them with your Bible. Wield that humble old Bible. That scoffed rejected hated despise word of God. It is the same old jawbone of an ass that Samson wielded to devastating effect against the Philistines. It’s unusual, humble, ridiculous, foolish, stupid in the world’s eyes, but it’s wisdom and life to the believer. Choose the fear of the Lord. It is the beginning of wisdom. Don’t start at trying to find out all their is to know about evolution and creationism, start with fearing the Lord. That will guide you were you need to go. David didn’t need to know all the facts. Do you really need to know everything about the creation of the world? No, you don’t. God may show you things. But the main thing, the only important thing, is that you get saved. It was the lack of the fear of the Lord that betrayed this Amalekite. David asked him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’S anointed? How are you not afraid? Don’t trust anybody who does not have the fear of the Lord. It is the beginning of wisdom. Miss that fundamental, basic, essential step, and you are quickly on the path to destruction. By the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. Fearing the Lord is the smartest thing you will ever do. It will save you from hell, it will stop you from doing wicked things, it will turn your heart towards God. These evolutionists call God a liar. Maybe not directly… but everytime they open their mouths they are calling God a liar because what they say contradicts the Biblical account. Are you not afraid to lie? Are you not afraid of God? Are you not afraid to call God a liar? The Bible says in Romans… let God be true and every man a liar. So are you a liar, or is God a liar? The Bible says if the gospel is hid, it is hid from them that are lost. The most important thing is to believe the gospel, or is it hidden from you because you are lost? Satan will hide it from you, Satan will lie to your face just like this Amalekite did. Salvation was not hid from David, truth was not hidden, the gospel was not hidden, that’s why he could write the Psalms!

There is much more that could be said and discovered from reading these passage, the surface has barely been touched. But the message is that … the narrative has been hijacked people. There are liars in this world. You are being lied to. All the time. Bombarded by the enemy, who wants to hide the truth from you. Who want’s to hide the Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious gospel from you. Who want to keep you dumb. Who want you to believe a cruel lie. God’s word is the truth. Don’t believe an Amalekite’s narrative no more. For your eternity’s sake.
