Isaiah 40:21 – Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

The first thing we learn from the beginning is that in the beginning God – Genesis 1:1. God already was. He is not confined by time, space, matter. He created time, space, matter. God is eternal, everlasting, immortal. He is not created. He is. He is the I am. God is the creator. God is the designer. As creator, God not only shows his infinite power, authority and wisdom, but he also shows his right to judge his creation. He is allowed to do what he wants with it. Whether you like it or not. You cannot do anything about this fact regardless of how you feel about it. We also learn that in the beginning was the Word. John 1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Word of God. He was in the beginning with God, he was God, he is God. He is part of what the Bible calls the Godhead – the Father, Word, Holy Ghost. 1 John 5:7 – For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. The Bible says that by the word of God the heavens were of old. Jesus made all things and by him all things consist. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Jesus is God.

We also see that God is the one who designs and orders his creation. He makes the laws, his laws are true and righteous, and his way is the only way of life. The Bible says his ways are higher than our ways. His way is the only good way. In Matthew 19 – When the man called him Good master, Jesus said to him – Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Good is what God is. He defines what good is. He is not subject to man, and cannot be. The right way is what God says it is. The only right way is his way. We see an example of God’s design and order in Genesis. God says in the beginning he made them male and female – Matthew 19:4.The current trend today with the transgender movement is a Satanic attack on God’s design and his creation. It also attacks God himself, because the Bible calls him a He. God is not a she. God is not both sexes. God is not a pervert. God also ordained marriage to between man and woman – Genesis 2. God joined them together. God as creator made marriage. He alone defines marriage. He alone says what marriage is. Marriage is of God. God alone has the right to say what marriage consists of. Even when sodomites get married today, even when they have every license and certificate they can get their hands on – they are still not married in the sight of God. God does not join man and man together. He does not join woman and woman together. Sodomites are only fooling themselves. They are not doing anything new, Sodom did what society is now doing thousands of years ago, this is not something original. Man is not outwitting God, man cannot spite God. God does not need anything from us. God destroyed Sodom, God will do the same today. God doesn’t want to, but he will send you to hell no problems.  The God is Love crowd neglect to tell the whole truth. He is Holy above all else. Don’t argue with me, argue with God if you have a problem with this. If this does not offend unbelievers, it isn’t Bible that I am giving you, because the Bible makes it clear that the message of the cross, the wickedness of man and the need for salvation is offensive to unbelievers. It is unfortunate that instead of coming to the truth and receiving life and having hope, you would prefer to remain in Satan’s kingdom, as he is lying to you, he has you deceived and he wants to take you to hell, he wants to kill you. He can’t be saved, he doesn’t want you to be saved. Why work for him? He hates you. It is Satan who works to pervert the right ways of God, such perversion is a sign of Satan’s increasing activity in the last days.

We learn that Satan was working tirelessly to destroy mankind from the beginning. It is important to note he was a created being. He is not outside of God. He only can do what God lets him do. He has to get permission from God. He was a cherub. He was lifted up with pride. He had I will in his heart, not thy will. Thou wast perfect in all thy ways till iniquity was found in thee. He caused man to fall into sin. Jesus said, he was a murderer from the beginning – John 8:44. Satan murdered us. God said thou shalt surely die, and we do and have. If you are not saved right now you have already been murdered, you are a dead man walking, separated from God by wicked works, dead in your sins, alienated from God, with God’s wrath abiding on you. You are spiritually dead. Your physical death is inevitable as all of ours is. However, for the believer, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Jude says twice dead, this when unbelievers are cast into the lake of fire. It is eternal death. When we are saved, we are spiritually resurrected by the Spirit of God, we are resurrected because Christ was resurrected. We are united with Christ. We are baptized into his death, burial and resurrection – Romans 6. In him and by him, we live. Abide in death or abide in life, the choice is yours.

We also learn that man will attack the message of the beginning – 2 Peter 3. Man will mock God, man will deny God, man hates God. Where is the promise of his coming? People will deny the return of the Lord Jesus Christ as King. They also deny his first coming as our Saviour. They deny him as God, his virgin birth, his resurrection, his perfect blood that alone paid the price for our sins. People will deny him as Creator. They will attack him as Creator. Paul warned Timothy of oppositions from science falsely so called – 1 Timothy 6:20.

It is important to see that there is another beginning that we must consider – the beginning of our faith. 1 John 2:24-26 – Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. Satan will attempt to derail us with false doctrine, false teaching, false Bibles, false spirits, false ways, false lights, false hopes, false appearings, false revelations. He doesn’t want us to be saved to begin with. After we are saved he wants us to keep doubting our salvation and prevent us from leading anyone else to Christ. He doesn’t want us to be a burning and a shining light. He doesn’t want you to read your Bible. He doesn’t want you to believe that God’s words are sufficient, pure, inspired, preserved, true and sure. The Bible commands us to hold fast, to stand still, to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. Don’t lose your first love. Don’t be beguiled, don’t be bewitched.

Finally, we see the wonderful message of salvation from the beginning. God preached the gospel to Adam when he shed innocent blood and clothed Adam. This was a picture of our coming Savior, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, whose pure, incorruptible blood would be shed for us to pay the price for the sins of the world. When we are saved, we are clothed in Christ’s righteousness, we have no righteousness ourselves. We need Christ’s righteousness. The plan of salvation is the same from start to finish. The Bible says Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We see the prophecy of the seed of the woman which would bruise the serpents head. Jesus is the seed of the woman. 1 John 3:8 – For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. The Lord Jesus Christ is our life, our hope, our victory, our assurance, our faith, our Saviour, our salvation. He is the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world. What will you do with him?
