Every Good Gift And Every Perfect Gift Is From Above

Hello dear readers, just a life update from me! I’ve haven’t done any blogging these past few weeks because a lot has been happening in my life! Below is what I posted on my facebook, but just wanted to preface what I wrote with a personal note also here to those who read my blog especially.

Thank you so much for reading through the years, and I haven’t forgotten you or it, I absolutely love writing and have so much to write but just haven’t had the time or access of late, but there is a lot more coming! I always miss writing when I’m not!

I’ve so appreciated my readers over the years, and there’s been many varied inputs and responses, and can you believe it, this blog is approaching its 10 year anniversary!

And so what happened in my life is that God showed great mercy to me in bringing along a wife for me, but it came after many years of being single and all the challenges that entailed.

It is purely the mercy and grace of God. All glory and praise to him, because it was beyond me, I didn’t and don’t deserve it, but having received such a precious gift, it only serves to humble me further and show me how true fullness and completion is in Christ.

The Lord is worthy. He’s worth knowing. He’s worth believing. He’s worth everything we have. Because of who he is. Because he gave us everything good we have anyway. He is not an accessory to our life, he is the cause, the purpose and the reason. He is not separate from anything we are and do, he is central to everything.

And we are just stewards of his grace, as the Bible says “as good stewards of the manifold grace of God”. I hope somehow this blessedness in my life can be a source of courage and inspiration to you, especially those “I’m happy for you but that’s not my life”rs… this was a miracle in my life, an answer to prayer, God’s mighty hand and endless grace and mercy… he did the impossible, he gave me his testimony… and I’d encourage you to launch out into deep waters for the catch Jesus surely has coming through your net in your season, his timing.

Yeah yeah I know the cynicism, because I’ve been that too… but Peter had fished those waters, his experience told him there was no fish out there to catch… but when Jesus told him to launch out and where to throw his net, he caught the catch of his life. When God opens the door for you this year, you’re likely to catch a draught too!

In the meantime, put your roots down in God’s word, let him plant you, let him take you through some of those tough seasons, there is fruit coming, trust in him at ALL times. I know it seems easy for me to say… but it hasn’t been easy, none of us aren’t without testing and trial and temptation… but God brings us through it all and at the end… so as Job said… “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”

Everything God is doing and does is because God wants us, and he wants us to see that having him is having everything… everything else is just “and all these things shall be added unto you”. Jacob thought God was worth hanging on to for dear life, let your pursuit and hunger be for Christ alone… he will take care of the rest, and he won’t hold back anything good from you.

Well, well

I got married!

So thankful for a wedding day to remember forever. Can barely believe it arrived and happened!

God miraculously brought Bridget into my life about a year and a half ago, and then through great happiness and many tears, mountaintops and valleys he proved to us both that we were meant to be together.

God opened Bridget’s heart and love to me and mine to hers, his power was mighty, his truth supreme and his mercies endless, and we are so thankful for his tender leading and lovingkindness in this area of our lives.

It has been a divine journey, and when I’ve been sinking in stormy seas (many times!) it was God who took me upon his shoulders and brought me through. In the face of my impossibilities and frailities, he reminded me this journey always was and always will be entirely his strength and not my own… his promise all I need.

Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

The Bible says that “For with God nothing shall be impossible”. My marriage amongst many other things in my life will always be a reminder that that is more than just words.

As the day neared, God reminded me of a statement that Sarah (Abraham’s wife in the book of Genesis) made when she finally had the child God had promised them so many years ago… her statement which began with the words “who would have said…?”

Who would’ve and could’ve said that this could and would happen to me… and like it did? Who could speak all this into existence but the author and finisher of our faith, the performer of his promises, whose Spirit spoke the heaven and earth into existence to start the whole story? “That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.”

We would not be together if not for the Spirit of God… but we are so thankful for how he tied it and us together in the eternal bond of his love.

The support has been enormous and so humbling and God brought all the right people at the right time as angels of God, their help which I can only describe as the grace of God.

“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.”

What the Lord Jesus has done for us is amazing, but even if it were not, and even when the battles and realities of navigating this world return, ultimately we choose him and serve him because of who he is. There is no reason for life outside of he who created it and gave it.

Now is a blessed time and words of praise and thanksgiving come easier now, but through all of life’s journey so far… salvation through Christ has always been the best thing that happened for me. No matter what my future, or yours who read this, know God does have a life truly worth living for us all, now and in the world to come. If he does for little old me… how much moreso for you?

Maybe your life feels like dry ground, maybe you feel like nothing good can come out of it or of it, maybe you think God can’t make anything of your situation, circumstances and impossibilities… but if God could raise up Christ the Saviour as a root out of a dry ground, if he could provide the best thing that ever happened to this world out of a low end town called Nazareth… you could yet see a little stream breaking your way off from the river of God to bring great gladness to your soul! As he did mine.

I never will feel I deserve this, there are many more worthy than I, and I hope to rejoice in Christ’s day in many other people’s lives in days, weeks, months, years to come and that my and our marriage could play some small role in the salvation and blessing of others to his glory and for his great names sake ❤️✝️

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 33 y/o Bible Blogger from Adelaide, South Australia. God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to share it with others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. And it’s Jesus Christ’s faith far more than my own! Because he is faithful. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and by God’s grace I anchor my soul to it. My destination is heaven. As they say, this world is not my home, I’m just a passin’ through… although most of the time I feel more like I’m hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports, I currently work on an orchard and one of my main hobbies/interests is growing vegetables. I love writing. I’m always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment on my blog or through email! My blog is inspired by Isaiah 2, and Isaiah’s vision of the last days when all nations will flow unto the Lord’s house, in a future time where everyone will love to hear God’s word and walk in light of Lord. And it is my hope that my blog will “strengthen the brethren” and “feed my sheep” as Jesus told Peter. Whether you visit once or regularly, I hope my blog is of some benefit to you on your journey of life! It’s a long journey, but with Christ you will make it to the other side. • Thank you Vonciel for your comment and kind blessed words in Christ Jesus, I appreciate it!

In Psa 78 verse 5, the Bible says “For he established a testimony in Jacob…” like with them whom he delivered out of Egypt and took through the wilderness to Canaan… God wants to give us all a personal testimony through his wondrous working in our own lives, a work in time made all the sweeter by all the trials and troubles he brings us through

God will come through for you, he will take you to the other side, and in so doing he will have drawn you closer to himself, he is worthy, he is worth it

May the grace of God be with you, and you see Christ’s day in your life, much love and joy in Christ Jesus
