He Will Be A Wild Man

Genesis 16:11,12 – And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

The Bible is the sure word of prophecy – 2 Peter 1:19. If you want to know what is going to happen, go to the sure word of prophecy – your Bible. Prophecy is being fulfilled today. God gave us the Bible so we can know things. We can know what is going on based on the truth of God’s words. In Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Jesus said in Matthew 24:4-8,  Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. This is so true of the world today. We are seeing increased droughts, famines, and natural disasters. These are troubling times with soaring unemployment and economic uncertainty. There is increasing distress and trouble all around the world. With recent world events, and most recently in Paris days ago, we are seeing increasing tensions between the families of the earth, we are hearing of wars and rumors of wars. Today, right now, you can see the amazing and awesome foreknowledge and sovereignty of God in prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes. The Bible defines nations as families of the earth – Genesis 22:18, Galatians 3:8. God’s prophecy concerning Ishamel and his descendants in Genesis 16 has been and is being fulfilled. The children of Ishmael have proven to be wild, they cannot be tamed by man. It is only God that can tame the children of Ishmael, just as only he could stop the mouths of the lions to save Daniel. The history of the children of Ishmael has been characterized by violence, restlessness, upheaval, and disturbance as prophesied. Ishmael will be a wild man. Consider Isaiah 46:9,10 – I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. God declares the end from the beginning. Not one single prophecy in the Bible is wrong. God’s word is inerrant. When the heavens and earth which are now are long gone, God’s word will remain – 1 Peter 1:25, 2 Peter 3. As the Bible predicted the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ the first time, and his death, burial and resurrection to the finest, minutest detail, the Bible has a lot to say about future coming events and the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Contrary to the popular belief propagated by professing Christendom and contemporary churches around the world, the world is not going to get better, the world is not going to be gradually Christianized, the kingdom is not going to be brought in by man. The Bible makes it quite clear that the world is going to get much worse before it gets better. Spiritual darkness is enveloping the world today. 1 John 5:19 says the whole world lieth in wickedness. As Jesus said in Matthew 24, there are many false Christs in the world today, who are leading people astray and causing them to stumble and err. They are forerunners to the ultimate false Christ, the antichrist – 1 John 2:18. The antichrist’s time is coming, but it will be short lived. There will only be peace on earth when the Lord Jesus Christ returns and reigns which will fulfill Luke 2:14. Jesus is the only righteous and perfect Judge, he is the true, eternal King. The history of mankind has shown that world peace is completely unachievable when man is in control, when man is king. Genesis 6:12 – And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. History repeats itself, there is nothing new under the sun – Ecclesiastes. Man will experience true peace when Jesus reigns for 1,000 years as prophesied of in both the Old and New Testament – Revelation 20. He will put down all rule, he will rule with a rod of iron – Revelation 2:27. This is a time when the lion shall lay down with the lamb – Isaiah 11:6. There will be showers of blessing – Ezekiel 34:26. He will show us what true peace is all about, but first there must be be a time of sorrow, travail, pain and great tribulation. This is a time of God’s judgement and wrath on the unbelieving, truth rejecting world and God dealing with the nation of Israel to bring them to his Son, whom they rejected when he first came now thousands of years ago. The Bible says that perilous times will come – 2 Timothy 3:1. Be sure they will. Are you troubled, are you worried, are you perplexed, is your heart failing you for fear? If you are not saved, you would do well to be worried, but if you are saved, you have nothing to fear.

The antichrist will rule the world during the short period of time known as the time of Jacob’s trouble (commonly called the tribulation) where God is pouring out his judgement and wrath upon the world. God will revisit Israel at this time, he will heal the breach, he will rebuild the broken down walls, he will purge out the rebels. Israel will be saved. The antichrist will be empowered by Satan to deceive the whole world. He will deceive the world with lying signs and wonders, he will betray and persecute Israel and unite the world in rebellion against God. The world will wonder after him – Revelation 13:3. The world will be amazed by him. He will speak great, swelling words. The world will follow him like lambs to the slaughter. He will promise peace, but will bring war. The armies of the earth will be gathered to fight against the Lord Jesus Christ – Revelation 19:19. Joel 3:14 – Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. However, as David slew Goliath in the valley, Jesus will return and destroy the antichrist and the armies of the earth.  The Bible says that the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe – 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10. Jesus will stand on the Mount of Olives in that day, and the Mount will cleave beneath his feet – Zechariah 14:4. Jesus will enter in by the east gate into Jerusalem, and he will rule from Jerusalem, which is the city of the great king – Ezekiel 43. Jesus will put down all rule under his feet – 1 Corinthians 15:24. Every knee will bow to Jesus – Romans 14:11. You can bow to him now, or when it is too late. But either way, you will bow to Jesus.

True believers do not need to be troubled or fearful about the times that are coming, and now are. In Luke 21:28 Jesus said And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. True believers have a blessed hope – Titus 2:13. We are waiting for our Lord Jesus Christ to receive us to himself as he promised – John 14:3. This is commonly referred to as the rapture or translation. We are not appointed to God’s wrath, Jesus took God’s wrath for us, God’s wrath is only for unbelievers – 1 Thessalonians 5:9. We shall all be changed – 1 Corinthians 15:51. We do not know when this will happen exactly, nobody does. But it will happen in the twinkling of an eye. The day of the Lord cometh as a thief in the night – 1 Thessalonians 5:2. It is our responsibility to watch and pray, and to remain faithful until he comes. Romans 13:11 says, And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Jesus said, The night cometh when no man can work – John 9:4. Today is the day, now is the accepted time – 2 Corinthians 6:2. The Bible exhorts us to be saved, to be washed, to be clean, to be ready, to be patient, to be waiting, to be expecting. Jesus said, Let not your hearts be troubled – John 14:1.  Jesus said, Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world – John 16:33. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord – Exodus 14:13. God alone is in control. We have a God that declares the end from the beginning. He will be a wild man.

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 32 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)
