Luke 2:25 – And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Luke 2:26 – And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Malachi 3:14 – Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?
Malachi 3:15 – And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
Malachi 3:16 – Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
Malachi 3:17 – And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Malachi 3:18 – Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Hello readers, I want to see it in my lifetime. I want to see God and truth and righteousness win in my lifetime. Do you?
Ever since I was born, I’ve been in a country that has been getting worse and worse. Today’s Australia is unrecognizable to the country I was born in, and without fail, every year has taken my society further from God, his word and truth and righteousness and justice.
Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament, God deals here with something they were saying which we might well say too. The wicked are set up! It doesn’t pay to serve God, the ungodly are those who win in life.
And it does seem to be the case doesn’t it. It just seems like Satan is making every post a winner at the moment. Truth always seems to be the casualty, not the victor. Judgment never seems to go forth. I want to see God win. I want to see it in my lifetime.
I know the Bible is true, but I want the world to be convinced of it’s truth. I know God is just, but I want this world to be convinced of his justice. I want to see the righteous vindicated, I want to see it pay off for those that have feared God all these years.
What a verse in Jude 1:15 “To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Jude is talking about what Enoch was preaching about the coming of the Lord.
To “convince” all that are ungodly among them … one day God is going to convince the ungodly that they were wrong and that they are wrong. And they’re going to be the ones made to pay. Instead of the innocent paying, like Abel for Cain’s sin, one day the wicked will pay. One day the righteous are who will be exalted, and no longer the proud.
I want to see the Bible beat the lies and they all know it as I do already. I want to see God glorified and admired and his word vindicated and proven in the minds of every single person as what is truth and right. I am tired of seeing the foolish and proud and disobedient justified, when they are not justified. Because the only way we are justified is by God in Christ Jesus.
Maybe you’re one of those in Malachi 3:16… a wonderful verse. You do fear God in these times, and you talk to other believers about what’s going on, and you cleave to the Lord Jesus Christ, even despite all it looks like and seems. God is watching, and God is keeping good records. God knows who fear him right now.
One day God is going to make up his jewels… are you one of his jewels? Jewels are valuable and precious and beautiful, and you are part of his jewels… and one day Christ will be admired in you who believed. And in that day, you will know that it paid to serve God.
I want to see that day, but I do want to see it in my lifetime. I would love to see in my country all the lies get dismantled for what they are. I would love to see truth and righteousness and judgment go forth, rather than the usual lies and deceit and corruption. I want to see truth vindicated and the ungodly convinced of their ungodliness.
Do you want to see it? Do you want to see God win in your life and in your country and in your lifetime? If you read Luke 2 part of what I quoted at the start, you will see that Simeon was someone who wanted to see it in his lifetime. And he saw HIM in his lifetime. Simeon got to see Jesus Christ in his lifetime. Oh wow. And that’s the key, because we must see Jesus in our lifetime, because he is the Lord God who will be the one who sets it all right and puts everything in order, and sorts all the mess out and takes victory in all things in the end.
That’s who Job trusted. Job was feeling so misunderstood, misrepresented and he was unable to make his friends see the truth of it as they persecuted him for no wrong he had done. Who did he trust? His redeemer. Who he trusted he would see in his lifetime, even beyond his mortal body… one day he would seem his redeemer stand on the earth. His hope and trust was in God, he was convinced that God and truth will win.
Maybe this whole thing is beyond you. Well done, it all is beyond us. Life at the best of time is beyond us. Trust in Jesus Christ. Look for HIS day. We know that his day is coming. We know the day of the Lord is coming. We know Jesus Christ will rule and reign forever and ever. We have faith and are assured that good will triumph over evil, truth will triumph over the lies and deception, and Jesus Christ will totally destroy the devil forever and ever.
I want to see it in my lifetime. One day God will flip this thing around, and in the meantime, will we be faithful. Will we hold on to what God has given us? He’s given us his word, will we cling to it? He’s given us his Son, will we trust in him to set all things right and plead our cause and redeem us? Their redeemer is mighty the Bible says… and he is. He is ABLE.
I can feel a fraction of a percent of what Job felt. Like him, you can’t necessarily explain it all, you can’t seem to convince others of the truth of God’s word, you can’t sort out all the injustice and evil, you can’t unravel all the lies, you can’t make sense of everything, you can’t make others see, and you can’t seem to win. But like Job, I know someone who has won, someone who has prevailed. The lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God… he has prevailed. And I will see his day, and in his day I will be his jewel… because I trusted in God. You can be too, you can trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will see him and you will see it in your lifetime, because you will live forever because Christ has won forever.
For now, stay faithful, stay in the Bible, hold the line. God knows and will remember who did, those believers who speak together and wait for him and his day. One day we all will be able to discern between the righteous and the wicked, there will be no doubt about what was right and what was wrong, there will be no more debates and arguments and disputes, there will be no foolish being wise and justified in his foolishness… and in that day you will wonder why you ever doubted in God. Yes, I do want to see the righteous justified rather than the wicked. I want to see the righteous exalted rather than the proud. I want to see my redeemer stand upon the earth. I want to see it in my lifetime.
Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 30 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)
