The Day You Realize You’re Not In When You Thought You Were In
Matthew 22:9 – Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
Matthew 22:10 – So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Matthew 22:11 – And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
Matthew 22:12 – And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Matthew 22:13 – Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 22:13 – For many are called, but few are chosen.
Hello readers, short blog today. The day you realized you’re not in when you thought you were in. There was a man in this famous parable of Jesus Christ who thought he was in. He thought he got in. He thought he’d slipped in. But he was not in. Read the full parable for yourself, it’s in Matthew 22, and it’s a sobering parable of utmost importance for us to read and get some understanding in today.
I see so much today, people who became “Christian” without ever believing the gospel. They became Christian by church membership. Maybe they got baptized. Whatever, but they didn’t get in through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ. They say they’re in, they think they’re in, but they’re not in at all. This man in this parable was not in with the king like he thought, and maybe you’re not in with God at all like you think. If you were in with God you wouldn’t have such a problem with real Christians and with God’s word. If you were in with God you wouldn’t be so fleshly and worldly and sensual and sinful.
The fact is most professing Christians today think they’re Christian, but their life is devoid of repentance and faith. And the problem with modern churches is they’re trying to get people in without the gospel. But in compromising the truth in order to be more seeker friendly or get more people in… they’re just compromising more people. They’re trying to get people in through any other way other than the truth of God’s word. And they’re creating a whole lot of people who think they’re in when they’re not in. They’re not saved.
There is no way you can slide someone into the kingdom of God having evaded most of every truth in the word of God just because you knew if you said something about sin, judgment, wrath, hell they wouldn’t accept your message. See, I can easily make Christians by going around saying God loves you and he accepts you as you are and come to church and hey, you’re saved! If I skirt around all the truths which might offend them or might seem not loving enough I can get them in. There’s plenty of ways to get them in, but there’s only one way to really get in and stay in. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9 ” I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved”.
The problem with changing the gospel and changing the Jesus just to make Christianity more palatable to someone really is just short changing that person. You can make someone think they’re in. You can make someone feel like they’re in. But that doesn’t mean they’re in. You may even think they’re in. But it is God who will say in the end, you are not in. What a horrible thought to think you’re in, only to find out you’re not in.
You can’t just slip and slide and dodge and wriggle your way past all the truths of the Bible into the kingdom of God. If you do not belong, you do not belong. It’s always amazing seeing how professing Christians live how they think they could possibly belong in a place where they don’t want to live now. If the new heaven and new earth is a place where only righteousness is, how on earth do you belong in that place? You live like a dog here and somehow you belong in a place of holiness and righteousness? Hardly.
You are not going to get it in just however you want to be. This man was meant to have a wedding garment, but he did not. If you don’t get in through repentance of sin and faith in Christ, you are not in. If you’re a Christian on any other basis you are not in. You are not going to get in just however you want to get in. It’s not how you choose, it’s who God chooses. See, at the moment you think it’s all about your choices, and you get to choose your truth, choose your Jesus, choose your gospel, choose your Bible, choose your Christianity. You’re making all the choices… but in the end, what matters is who God chooses. And guess who he chooses? Those who came to him based on the truth of his word. People who have the wedding garment they were meant to. People who did what they were supposed to how he said to do it. As Jesus said, many are called, but few are chosen. Scary.
You will not get in, and neither will you be able to make others get in on the basis of anything other than saving faith in Jesus Christ. If you are not genuinely saved, you are not genuinely saved. If you are not born again, you are not in. Repeat: if you are not born again, you are not in. There will be no exceptions. This was the smallest detail, he just came dressed a different way. But he did it his way, but what matters to God is doing it God’s way. You best find out what God’s way is then right? Stop living in your fairy world and find out what God said, because what he said is how you are going to be judged and it will be the difference between being chosen and being cast out.
Just because you changed your Jesus, just because you changed your Bible, just because you changed your God, just because you changed your gospel… doesn’t mean God has changed one little bit or the truth is any less the truth or the criteria for acceptance with God is anything less than absolute perfection which only Christ has. Just because you change stuff doesn’t mean God has changed stuff. What a wake up call. I see this quite a bit, people changing the message, changing the gospel, changing the Bible to be in and get people in. But they aren’t in, and they’re not getting people in. We are commanded to prepare to meet our God, are you prepared, are you ready?
So you may qualify as a Christian based on your false Jesus and your false gospel, but unless you qualify based on the truth of God’s word and the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re not in. You’re just deluded. You’re fooled about who and what you are. You’re fooled about what’s going to happen. Maybe this guy thought oh they king will be fine with me coming how I want. But he wasn’t fine. And it won’t be fine.
Why do you think this bloke was speechless? Because you won’t have an answer. You’ll finally be out of your smarts. You know how everyone has an answer for everything? This man had no answer. Think about that, this man had no answer for the king. No excuse. No justification. No blame. Nothing. When you stand before God you will have no answer. He was missing something that was not optional, but compulsory and mandatory. What are you missing that is compulsory? Are you missing the reality of having actually been saved? Are you born again? Have you repented? Maybe you, like him, think you’re in. I’ve thought about this man, and where everyone else was at. How was he somehow in this place and nobody had told him that he needed a wedding garment? Maybe someone told him he was in. Maybe someone allowed him in. The thing is, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what someone says, it matters what God says. And God HAS said. He’s already said, stop being like Balaam and going back to him like he hasn’t already said what he’s said and meant.
Why didn’t he have a wedding garment? Was it the servants fault? Maybe some servant told him, oh you don’t need one, you’ll be alright. Maybe he thought, ah, I’ll deal with it when I get there. Maybe he just didn’t pay attention. Maybe he didn’t think the details matter. Maybe he thought it wasn’t that important. Maybe he thought it won’t make a difference and nobody will be able to tell. And maybe, just maybe, nobody ever told him he was not in until that king came in and says, what are you doing here? Are you going to be the person that tells someone, hey, you’re not right with God, it’s not all good, there’s a real God, there’s a real devil, and there’s a real hell. That’s the person that loves you.
But maybe this man knew all that. Maybe he just decided he knew better like we all do. What about when God asks you where is your wedding garment? Where was your faith? Where was your repentance? Where was you being born again? Where was your obedience? Where was your self denial? Where was your trust? Where was your preparedness? Where’s the proof of your salvation? Where’s the proof you belong here?
And the man was speechless. Many people are so used to telling God what he’s trying to say, many people are so used to their sad little idea of God that they’ve made, a God they command authority over not realizing the true God is in authority over them. And they are not going to know what to say when God sentences them to eternal hell fire. God is not your pal, God is not your boy, God is not someone who consults with you. He is God. He means what he says, and says what he means.
If you have come another way, and not the right way, you are not in. This man did not come the way that he was meant to. He obviously was like one of these professing Christians these days, they don’t think God’s word is all that important. They don’t think the details matter. They don’t think what God has said matters all that much. They don’t think the truth matters. But if you haven’t come to God by God’s way, you are not in. If you haven’t come to God by God’s way, you do not belong. There are no shortcuts. When you skirt around most of the Bible and live a Christianity out of a few verses that suit your life, you’re just short changing yourself in eternity.
He didn’t say to the king, oh nobody told me I needed one. Ever thought about that? He was WITHOUT excuse. You are without excuse. You can know, you should know, you are COMMANDED to know. He knew he needed one, but he didn’t think God had communicated clearly. Maybe the king’s command got lost in translation. Maybe he told the servants, oh that’s just your interpretation of the Bible. Maybe he said, oh a better translation says “I don’t need one”. You see, we’ve changed the gospel to where you don’t need to repent. You don’t need to worry about hell and judgment. But that’s your version, and that might change… but God’s version still hasn’t. God’s standards have not changed since Genesis 1:1, don’t forget that.
I struggle to think off the top of my head of a worse verse in the Bible. And there are plenty. When I say worse, I mean terrifying. But this one is right up there. Look at where this man ended up. He had so much opportunity, he was so privileged, he had such grace bestowed on him and he ended up in outer darkness, weeping and wailing… forever. All because he didn’t have a wedding garment. Far out. His eternity was separated by a… wedding garment. Do you realize how high the stakes are? Do you realize how serious the details matter? Do you even begin to realize the God you are messing around with? What God has said is mandatory. It is not just a suggestion, it is a command. There is a dress code for heaven, and that dress code is the righteousness of Christ, not my own righteousness. What qualifies me for that marriage is repentance of sin and saving faith in Jesus Christ, without which I am not in.
You may say, he did a lot right, he was there after all wasn’t he? But that’s not enough. It’s not enough to live religious. It’s not enough to do mostly good. It’s not enough to believe in God. It’s not enough to go to church. It’s not enough to get baptized. It’s not enough to not sleep around. You might do a lot right, you may be well meaning, you may be dedicated and sincere, you may think you’re in… yet you’re not in, and you are going to be cast out. What started with a call ended up with a casting out. How could it go so terribly wrong? How will your life end up so terribly in the end?
If you don’t make it on the basis of the shed blood of Jesus Christ alone, you won’t make it. If you don’t make it based on acknowledgement of truth and repentance of sin, you won’t make it. If you don’t make it based on saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, you won’t make it. If you don’t make it based on being born again of the Spirit of God, you won’t make it. The stakes are very high. Your soul is at stake. “Which had not”, those words are in this story. The Bible says he that HATH the Son hath life, but he that HATH not the Son of God HATH NOT life. Anything other than Jesus Christ is not enough, he is the only way you are in. So you may think you’re in, you’ve been told you’re in, and it seems like you’re in, it looks to everyone else like you’re in, but what matters is if God says you’re in. And to this man the king said to be cast out. That was the day he realized he was not in when he thought he was in. May this not be you or I that day.

Hi, my name is Joseph Zadow. I am a 32 y/o Bible Blogger. I was new to blogging once! God’s word is the best thing that we can be given, and once we have it and know it for ourselves it is both a privilege and responsibility to bring it to others! We are blessed to be a blessing! I am a sinner (for sure!) saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and I am a Lord Jesus Christ follower. He is faithful even though I rarely am to him. I believe the Bible is the word of God, and stake my life on it. My destination is heaven. As they say, I’m just a passin’ through this world… although most of the time it’s more like hangin’ by a thread in Jericho! I love playing sports – particularly cricket… I currently work on an orchard and a side hobby business of mine is growing vegetables etc – they are good for you! I love writing. Always happy to talk, so feel free to leave a comment. You can read more about me and my blog here – kjvbibletruth.com/about :)
Are You?
Unless you were convicted by and through the Power of the Holy Spirit, granted the gift to see your sin, granted the gift to believe, granted the gift of repentance by the Holy Spirit, being born again by and through the Power of the Holy Spirit, and then sealed when once you see and repentance given. then and only then are you truly born-again from Above by the Holy Spirit. It is as Jesus stated, that the Holy Spirit is given to the world to convict the world of Sin.
You see once we are granted repentance then we are Baptized in the Faith of Christ, then that Faith by the working Power of the Holy Spirit dwells within, and what He has established within our lives, He shall Finish it, all through the Power of the Holy Spirit, and nothing of the flesh can copy that, unless one has only a fleshly reasoning belief system, of self-willed faith. All Faith comes from the Father, it is a gift. Many may “choose” it, however they have not be chosen for Eternal life.
Mankind can not “repent” of their own free will, they are dead. Saving believing life comes from the Holy Spirit, not from the determined free will of men……

1 Timothy 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”
Cal, please don’t bring your Calvinism here. Yes it takes the grace of God to be saved and live saved, but that balances with the fact that God also gave mankind the ability to make their own choices as well. The grace of God has appeared to all men, that’s what the Bible says. Many people reject and despise the grace of God, but it’s not for lack of God giving people a chance to be saved. John 1 says that Jesus has lighted every man that has come into the world.
God wants all men to be saved, but not all men are saved. God is sovereign but he lets man make his or her own choices as well. He wants us to choose to love and obey him, not do it because he’s engineered us to like robots. He didn’t create men to go to hell, and it would be unjust to make someone not get saved and then judge them for not being saved when they had no ability to make a choice for themselves.
Ephesians 1:4 “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:”
We are chosen IN Christ. That’s what makes us chosen, because Christ is God’s chosen one and he is the chosen way to salvation and God. We are chosen in him. I’m not chosen because God picked me specifically out while saying to everyone else I know, nah you can go to hell. There are some things that are hard to grasp because God is God and we are not, but his sovereignty and foreknowledge perfectly balances with the fact he gave man duty and responsibility and that’s how and why man can and will be held accountable and each one of us judged before him at the end.
I have asked you once before not to post misleading stuff on here, you can believe what you want but this blog is not about confusion but clarity. Yes the Holy Spirit leads a man to repentance, yes the Holy Spirit reproves, rebukes, convicts, exhorts and then saves, enlightens, illuminates, seals, comforts and empowers… but that balances with other truths taught in the word of God and all the weights of the bag are his work.

First of all I am not a Calvinist. So before you accuse, ( who is the accuser of the brethren) you need to show from Scriptures where and how I error. THAT is the true way the Lord desires us to be to one another.
But Censoring is your only way out…..because you can not defend your false stance.
Flesh is flesh, Spirit is Spirit. And you are not being taught by the Holy Spirit, but of your own self-righteous fleshly human wisdom, which is not from above, but a fleshly standing.

What you are saying is what Calvinists believe. If you do not claim to be Calvinist, ok I accept that, but whatever you are it doesn’t really matter to me, just what you are saying, and what you are saying is not consistent with the counsel of God’s word.
I quoted multiple scriptures in my post which completely debunk your position, and if I remember correctly I quoted even more in a previous reply to you at a previous time where we had this discussion. I have not censored you, neither accused you, I just made a statement based on what you wrote, which I am fully entitled to do. I am fully entitled to disagree based on the clear teaching of God’s word. As for accusations, maybe read what you wrote, as there are multiple accusations in what you wrote.
I am not interested in readers being subjected to a stupid dogfight when they read this, but rather being pointed to what the Bible says and the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ. You are free to believe what you want, just tend to your field first before minding someone else’s.
God will have ALL men to be saved, and the grace of God has appeared to ALL men. Everyone and anyone can be saved, and 2 Peter 3:9 says that God is “not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.” The gospel is for ALL. Anyone and everyone may come to God, that is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. These are three witnesses from God’s word that are the conclusion of the matter, thank you.

Greetings Joseph.
I took my time because I prayed and searched out the scriptures you gave, and I need
to state, that the scriptures given need to be taken into context. We tend to take one scripture and build a “teaching” around them, which does lead to mis-understanding, which leads to an incorrect belief.
I am going to list the scriptures, which you have stated, then reveal why those scriptures are
not supporting your free will choice beliefism.
Then I will give scores of scriptures which support that mankind is “spiritually dead” in
their trespasses and sin, and therefore are not able to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
unless God the Father through His “foreknowledge” chose’s and grants them the gift of Eternal life, through the working Unction of the Holy Spirit.
The Old and New Testament gives scores of scriptural truth that reveals the LORD knows
who will love and follow HIM according to His Perfect Will, for His purposes and for
His Glory. I do pray that the Lord will bless and reveal this truth to you so you can understand His Will, and His Ways, as Paul teaches:
Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Let us not forget what Paul stated: Rom 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Rom 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
In essence, who are you to argue against the Lord? If anyone does, you can be sure it is their self-righteous pride.
Now I would like to discuss your statement in the posting: “He had so much opportunity, he was so privileged, he had such grace bestowed on him and he ended up in outer darkness, weeping and wailing… forever. All because he didn’t have a wedding garment”.
Actually, this statement is false. Anyone who has not a wedding garment on, is due to them NOT having received the Grace to be saved. He was “self-righteous” thinking he could go to the marriage on his own merit. There is no such thing that someone can have “grace bestowed” upon them and be lost, they never had God given Grace for salvation in the first, place. There is nothing in the scripture’s that you gave from Matthew that gives any sort of hint of that misleading thought.
Now your word’s which I quote:”
“God wants all men to be saved, but not all men are saved. God is sovereign but he lets man make his or her own choices as well. He wants us to choose to love and obey him, not do it because he’s engineered us to like robots. He didn’t create men to go to hell, and it would be unjust to make someone not get saved and then judge them for not being saved when they had no ability to make a choice for themselves.”
I believe you are quoting from the scripture 1 Tim 2: 4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” Yes, it is true, in context Paul was explaining to believer’s that they should pray for all mankind, and especially for kings and those in government, so that the Lord “may” grant them salvation to rule properly, but there is no guarantee, that salvation would be granted.
1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Now you will find Paul writing in Romans 10, how will they know the truth?
Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Now for mankind to know Preacher’s need to be sent, and they were and are, and should be sent, by the Lord.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Paul goes on to explain why persons will not believe, if they have heard:
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. :
Rom 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Now why would they not hear? As quoted in verse 16, it is relating to Isaiah, which is confirmed in John 12, by the Lord.
Joh 12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Joh 12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
Joh 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Now as Paul taught in Roman’s 10, this is the outcome with all Gentiles, and Jew’s, and also pertains to all Kings, rulers and government, to all mankind.
Regarding your statement that ALL have the will to chose “but he lets man make his or her own choices as well.” Is false, these scripture’s says it all:
“Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
I would like to address your usage of Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all men.” When read within the context of the chapter, the scripture was directed to those who were believers, to encourage them to live godly lives, it was not directed to sinners in any matter. As we see here:
“Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Tit 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
As you can see this cannot be used to support “free will choice” belief-ism”.
Also you used Eph 1:4, but failed to include the other 2 scripture’s which follows:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
So those HE has chosen were predestined from before the foundation of the world, where HE MADE us Accepted in the beloved.
One last point, the usage of 2 Peter 3:9
“2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
You failed to include the whole scripture, which explains why Peter wrote this to the believer’s. It was because there were persons accusing the Lord of being slackful concerning His promise to come. Peter called them scoffer’s;
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
So in essence Peter wrote that scripture in conjunction with those “scoffer’s” who were accusing the Lord of being not fulfilling His the Promise of His coming, as stipulated in the
verses: 2 Peter 3:5-14, encouraging them not to allow unbelief, not to doubt the Lord’s word.
Peter was not wanting any to follow after the “scoffer’s, doubter’s re: His promises, and these scriptures explains why:
2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
So Peter was desiring that those who were unstable, and unlearned and doubting God’s Word would be saved from their false belief’s.
So using this scripture out of context to support your “free-will choices,” isn’t supported in this verse.
I pray the Lord bless and guide you into His Truth, for your good and salvation.

Hello Cal, ALL men means ALL men. “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” is one of the simplest verses in the Bible. And you somehow make a mess of it.
In the last chapter of the Bible we read Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” That is just ridiculously simple, maybe too simple?
The scripture is beyond clear on the matter. The Bible is for all men, with truth for all men, the gospel is for all men, and salvation is for all men. Jesus tasted death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). ALL men and every man hmm. Your position is untenable and relies on your special insight and special understanding of verses that would not be drawn otherwise from the clear reading and teaching of scripture. Your truth does not balance out at all, which should tell you something is very wrong with it.
Truths we read about the person, work and ministry of the Holy Spirit and God’s sovereignty, election and foreknowledge should not come, and do not come, at the expense of some of the most basic truths of the gospel, as they do in your case.
God has furnished mankind with an ability to choose to believe or not, choose to obey or not. You can’t get past the first chapters of the Bible without realizing that. He said don’t eat, and they did. This very world we live in is a function of the choice and will of man. God had made it all very good. The entire Bible is a book of choices.
But you are forced to try and explain simple verses away with “context” because the Bible doesn’t quite say it like you want it to. ALL men means all men. It doesn’t need your special input and insight, it’s self explanatory and as plain and clear as it can get. And it’s not I don’t understand what you’re saying, I just reject it.
The Bible says in John 1:9 “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” Every man has been given light. It’s what you do with that light that you will be held accountable for. If you weren’t given light, you couldn’t be held accountable.
But to sum up, to say that ALL men doesn’t really mean all men and that all men doesn’t include the unsaved is just ridiculous. You wouldn’t be perishing if you weren’t saved. And God did harden Pharaoh’s heart, but how did he harden it? Was it through lack of choice, or was it through giving him choice and giving him truth?
As I’ve said before, you may believe what you want and justify it how you choose. Just don’t bring it here anymore, and I ask you to respect that, thank you.

So be it………you only walk in His name, not in His life. You do not know HIM, because you deny the Power thereof. False teacher….

No worries then Cal, given what has been discussed, I can live with that. And I’ll leave you with some more “all men” verses from Acts 17 as if the others were not enough!
Acts 17:30 – And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Acts 17:31 -Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
“All men every where.”The command to repent and the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is for all men every where. So that’s Jesus has lighted every man that has come into the world, Jesus has tasted death for every man, the grace of God has appeared to all men, God would have all men to be saved, all men everywhere are commanded to repent and God has given assurance to all men about the resurrection of Christ. That’s gunbarrel straight Bible. All the best for the future, thanks Joseph.

You know nothing, and your cowardice in honest discussion is very prevalent.
Your “gun-barrel straight Bible”, is nothing of the sort. It’s total dishonesty and filled with lies……….

Cal, my blog is not your platform to spread your special insights which are completely incongruent with the word of God. I talk to people with all sorts of whacky beliefs most days of my life, and everytime they’re the ones ending up running from the Bible and the simplicity that is in Christ. This blog is to build faith and strengthen faith in Jesus Christ and his word, not for silly behavior and silly talk.
You say I know nothing. Well the secret to knowing anything at all is first of all seeing you know nothing. Colossians 2:3 ” In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Jesus is the one, and the only one, who knows everything. There’s another “all” by the way, ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. It’s not about what you know, it’s about knowing him who knows everything. You’ll know a lot more when you realize you don’t know anything, rather than priding yourself on some advanced understanding of scripture that is so advanced it disregards the very premise of the gospel of Jesus Christ … that it is for all and whomsoever will may come.
As for free will and choice, maybe read these scriptures, the word “choose” is in them.
Deuteronomy 30:19 – I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15 – And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
God gives us choice, choose life! If the simplicity of Christ frustrates you, that’s your problem not mine. I don’t nor have I ever claimed to have special insights. I’m nothing, I don’t claim to be anything. You’ve ended up making quite a number of accusations which are both baseless and immature. As always it is best to look in the mirror, to examine your own life, before trying to pick out faults and flaws in someone else, particularly when you are in no position to do so.
I have asked you before and I ask you again to please respect what I’ve said, I know what you believe, I disagree with it on the basis of the clear and plain and simple teachings of scripture, and that is all there is to it. Have a good day, Joseph.

I can not and will not respect a false teacher, who twists the scriptures to form their personal and fleshly doctrine, by taking scriptures out of context and giving people a false sense that they are reading truth.
You shall be judged by your own words, which shall haunt you as you gnash and wail at your demise.
Remember the 5 foolish virgins? They had no OIL, the oil is the Holy Spirit. They were religious, through their own self-willed belief’s………One when is dead in sin, which means spiritual death, it takes the Holy Spirit of God being sent to quicken one’s eyes to see, ears to see, it’s the Spirit of Christ that gives life to a “DEAD” spirit. The flesh brings further death, due to the personal pride of a man who believes they can chose God on of their own accord.
I have copied our discussion and as the Lord leads I will warn other’s of your belief system.
Let God be true and EVERY man a liar. Your god is the author of all lies, deception and murder, your faith is not the Faith Abraham was Granted, gifted by God, yours is of the self-willed flesh, which brings death. You have not the Faith of Christ, which is given to every true believer Born from above.

Because I believe that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance… I am a false teacher? Because I believe that God would have all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth? Because I believe that the grace of God has appeared to all men? They’re all Bible verses and Bible truths just as much as the Bible truth that ye must be born again. You have proven you do not even grasp the basics of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that it is for all, that he tasted death for every man, that God so loved the world.
Yes we are a dead in sin, yes we need to be made alive in Christ, and yes we can be, because God has given light and grace to man to be saved, and he can choose to resist, refuse, reject or not. The stone which the builders rejected. God sent many prophets, many men of God, and then his Son, all who they rejected by their own choice, because of their darkness and sin loving hearts and a path they had chosen, not because God had created them all go to hell. Hell wasn’t even made for man, it was prepared for the devil and his angels. And Luke 9:56 says “For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them”. The gospel is for saving people. I am for people being saved. God gives grace to men to be saved, but the despise it, reject it and refuse it.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ” Whosoever Cal. Websters 1828 dictionary defines “whosoever” as “Any one; any person whatever.”
Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Whosoever will. God wants all men to be saved, the gospel is for all men, everywhere.
You are way off where you think you are at. Your list of accusations is embarrassing to yourself. You came here onto my blog typing absolute silliness and I have shown respect to you, and if you knew the qualifications of a teacher of the word and faithful minister of Christ, you would not be carrying on like you are harming the cause of Christ. They’re very serious accusations “as I gnash and wail at my own demise”. I think you need to read the gospels a bit more and find out who Jesus Christ is. You have proven yourself to be an immature, disrespectful and hateful little man. You can copy whatever you like to what end you like, but know that offending little ones comes with a very serious warning from the Lord Jesus Christ himself.
Hebrews 11:24 “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;” Moses refused and Moses chose.
Please do not reply anymore Cal, thank you.

Paul was saved by the Will of God, against his will. Why? Because the Lord had predestined him to be saved, and did so by revealing Himself to Paul which lead to Paul’s repentance. Saul was out to destroy the follower’s of Christ, that was Saul’s will done in ignorance, he hated Jesus Christ, because he was blind.
The other two men heard a voice, but it did not affect them. Why? Because the Lord was not after them, He desired Paul to be a Preacher to the Gentiles. Was the Lord unjust? Did the Lord desire them to be saved?
Act 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
Act 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Act 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Act 9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Act 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
Rom 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
1Co 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2Co 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Paul was saved BY THE WILL OF GOD, and God only, not by his own self-will beliefism, nor by the will of man. But by the Lord Jesus Christ, then sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Go on with your false teaching, and using scripture’s which I have already pointed out, is out of context. You don’t care about the truth, because the truth offends ones pride because YOU did the choosing.
Your giving of scriptures only suite your self-righteous standing, by twisting those you desire too, that’s why there are so few.
God hated Esau before he was Born, but Jacob HE loved. Jeremiah was chosen while he was still in the womb to be separated unto the Lord God, for HIS purposes, and was hated, and was resisted because of an idolatrous, and proud religious nation. All the While the Lord Always had a remnant chosen and hidden for HIS GLORY!
I can give more scriptures than you are willing to read, multitudes, but your heart is hardened by your own self-righteous stance. This is not an accusation it is the truth.
I don’t obey you, I obey the Lord, and I also was chosen before the foundation of the World. HE came and invaded my life without me seeking Him. He took this damaged and confused homosexual and invaded my life for His Purpose. He set me free from a life of degradation, and sin, and step by step has set me free through the years. He has gifted me with the Grace to discern and be a Watchman to warn of the enemy, so I do exactly what He desires of me, and HE give me the strength to do it!
He is my Rock, and on HIS foundation do I stand, and I have been taught by HIM, most of my life, with the exception of the Blessed teachings of JC PHILPOT in the last couple of years. Who the Lord has used to confirm exactly what the Lord has been teaching me.
I’ve been around for 43 years in the LORD, and since the late 90’s the Holy Spirit has been teaching me His Ways, His Doctrine through revelation by the Holy Spirit, and I am called to call out and warn true believer’s of the insidious and wicked teachings brought about by the false church, the Anti-Christ spirit, and being saved by your own choice does not make the grade. You have striven for Salvation UNLAWFULLY.
I do pray the Lord will save you by HIS POWER through the Holy Spirit, according to His Will and purpose.
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Let’s remember Judas was called to follow Jesus all the while he knew that Judas was the “son of perdition”, preaching and healing in Jesus Name. And yes, Judas was granted the opportunity to prove his loyalty at the Table before His crucifixion, but he lied and pretended to be loyal, all the while he already had made a deal for 30 pieces of silver to betray the Son of God
Why was Judas picked by the Lord knowing he was the “Son of Perdition”? Because it was God’s Will for the Lord to choose him, it was prophesied in the Old Testament, so therefore Judas, was fulfilling Prophecy………was God evil in this? NO, Judas was a deceiver from the onset, just as there are deceiver’s in this day.
I am now done.

The problem you have Cal is that you have a partial truth, but not the full truth. You have to wash off the many scriptures that do not fit with what you’re saying. Because you cannot reconcile other scriptures with your doctrine, you are forced to resort to private interpretations which are not consistent with the clear teaching of scripture on the issue. The “all men” and “whosoever” is so clear in the Bible its undisputable. There is no missing context, you are forcing the scripture into your doctrine, not letting your doctrine come from scripture. You are completely unable to balance the foreknowledge and sovereignty of God with the free will of man. But that is your problem, not mine.
I have done many blogs about the person, work, and ministry of the Holy Spirit. I have also done blogs on the grace of God. Yes, it takes the moving of the Holy Spirit to be saved, but that does not mean God forces anyone either. God said “thou shalt not eat of it”, and they ate of it. Everything was in their favour, they were made perfectly in the image of God and in a sinless creation. And they chose to disobey God. Your doctrine cannot even handle the very origin of sin, much less the solution to it. We are here because of free will and choice. Is God sovereign over our choices? Yes. God knows the end from the beginning. God knew they would sin, but God didn’t make them sin, they chose that. Esau failed of the grace of God, which means God did show grace to him, but Esau despised God’s grace just as he despised his birthright. That’s why God hated Esau.
It takes God’s drawing power to be saved, yes that is true. Salvation is of the Lord, yes that is true. People have been given light, the gospel has been preached to them, some believe and most reject it. Some see and some don’t. Some are saved and some aren’t. But what we know is that God is for people being saved. Jesus is for people being saved. He offers salvation to the whole world, and what people do with it is going to be what they are judged by.
God does not force me to obey him every day, if he was, I wouldn’t still sin, and so wouldn’t you. If everything I am doing in my life is the function of a puppet master I cannot be held accountable for my actions. If you cannot not sin, it would be an unfair and unjust judge to penalize you for doing what you cannot but do. The mere fact you sin in your life is proof of your ability to choose and refuse. God is not forcing you to sin, you are sinning because you are drawn away after your own lust.
I have sought to terminate this silly argument because that’s what it is, silly. Your mind is made up, and fair enough, you are allowed to believe what you what and be wrong as well. That is your choice. I believe according to the clear and plain teaching of scripture that you are in error. And you think I am in error as you have made clear. So we are at an impasse. Difference is, this is my blog, and I ask you to respect that and tend to your own field and make sure that is in order before meddling with someone else’s. Whatever God has called you to do, he hasn’t called you to come on here and start a silly catfight on someone else’s blog and go around telling them they’re unsaved when you are the one denying some of the most basic truths of the gospel.
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, and God has blessed my blog and my life. I do not wish you to hijack my blog and my time. Thank you for your contributions Cal, all the best.
